That first comment under the article should have been homo-phalic! Romney is a closet liberal as we're beginning to see.

Funny.....Be interesting to see how well they disguise the infighting.

    Is Romney trying to lose?

You also have to remember that in the internet / ‘social’ media age, we can see opinions from just about all of the world's seven billion plus inhabitants. and in that seven billion is just about every opinion imaginable and many that are not imaginable. The haters out there will get their 15 minutes of fame.

I think Romney can be the president of all the people as I think he’s signaling with this move.

This is the equivalent of Romney hiring a member of RealJock's conservaposse.

In other words, sound and fury signifying nothing. Mormon, gay, Christian, straight, atheist, agnostic or indifferent: the current Republican party is in the throes of a far right-wing extremism and paleoconservatism that appeals only to homophobes, racists, and Ayn Rand style objectivists. As long as Mitt rubs shoulders with this crowd, he is unfit to lead.

Thanks, but I'm not interested. I don't want to move to DC. I'll work for the campaign, but probably not to the extent that I have in the past.

No, it's likely a cynical attempt to confuse gay voters, and peal us away from the Democrats. He may be betting that the Right Wing will never vote for Obama on purely ideological grounds, as well as racial (a correct assumption), ignoring actual performance in office, and they'll have to swallow their dissatisfaction and vote for Romney. In the meantime, Romney picks up some gay & moderate voters, who will wrongly think he's now gay-friendly, despite the anti-gay pledges he's signed.

The risk for him is that the extreme Right Wingers will stay home and not vote at all.

And yet, he took the risk anyway. Funny how Republicans can't catch a break from you people even when they do something positive.

Art, dear, who exactly is “us”? Are “we” some monolithic voting block commanded at your direction and if we don’t it’s because “we hate ourselves”? Not like you haven’t pulled this number before, but you do NOT speak for me. I have many other issues of interest other than just the ‘gay’ issue, just as you evidentially did in the first 46 or 47 years of your life. So please, get off this high horse of yours with this “us” crap. Again, you do NOT speak for me.

    "something positive" ?

Richard Grennel is a famously vicious queen who has a job because he knows too much dirt on his fellow Republicans that they fear to ever cross him.

    He's a good fit with Mitt's campaign.

    Todd..
Something 'positive'? C'mon. You are better than that.

Romney goes on record for making sure that gays cannot get married and then turns around an hires one that whined about the fact he couldn't.

This 'gay' dude and romney remind me of the old days of the south when we had the plantation owners and the slaves.
    "yessa master, yessa".

Its sickening and totally disgusting. On BOTH of their parts.

    Sounds like Ken Mehlman II.

Go work for a homophobe and when it's over for Romney, he'll write a mea culpa to the gay community.

Amazing how these religious nutballs as so hateful, bitter and petty. Then Romney signs their pledge. If he can't stand up to a few nutballs, then shows he'll be another trust fund baby screw-up like Bush.

I don`t know if Romney is a closet liberal but he cynically knows he needs some of them/moderate voters to secure the presidency.

CJ, man !!! your wrong on this for sure, TroyAthlete is right, think back CJ at all the ativities, protests, signs and interviews the TBAGGERS were involved in to bring in the TBagger Congressman who have definately pushed everything in Congress to the fanatical right. You don't like Santorum and speak out against him, and he represents what has happened to the Repub party.

TroyAthlete is right on this for sure. you repubs need to take a long hard look at what is happening to your party. They've become dangerous religious fanatic Ideologs.

As close to it as we get in the Repub party. He ain't no conservative so he wasn't fooling me. As is often the case, he's not the one I voted for in the primary, but I think if elected, he'll do fine

Given Romney's propensity for flip-flopping, this guy will probably be '100% straight' by July.

Seriously? You and Trojanwhatever could not be more WRONG. If Rick Santorum represented what has happened to the Republican party, he'd be the nominee -- he isn't, and he never will be the face of the Republican party, and for good reason.

Hey, if you want to be a member of the "They Don't Believe in Gay Marriage, So They Must Hate The Gays" Club, go right ahead. I do not subscribe to that sort of mentality, and I certainly don't think Mitt Romney "Hates The Gays".

As FIF pointed out, who is "us"? All gays don't think alike, nor do they vote alike, nor should they be expected to. Everyone has their own mind and their own priorities. We don't vote as a bloc

Sorry, I guess what ever point you were trying to make was lost on me. I just find it really petty that the sexuality of ANYONE working for Mitt Romney has to be an issue. So Mitt Romney hired a gay guy for whatever -- GREAT -- one more gay with a job. But, nooooooo that isn't good enough for some of you. It's got to be a very specific type of gay I suppose. The hypocrisy in the gay community -- not to mention here on RJ -- is just astounding. Get over yourselves!!!

    Yeah thats apparent!

Let Mitt flip flop some more. How much can come out one side of his mouth before the other side slaps him?

You can't be a Nazi and be married to a Jewish person. It makes you a liar!
