Fevers... gah! Why?

So generally I'm pretty much the epitome of health and wellness (or so friends say), but every once in a while I end up getting slapped with a bug and it knocks me for a loop. When I get hit, I get his hard but I bounce back.

But, for this at least, I blame my mother.

A cough. No covering of her mouth. Yuck. She's' a smoker (as are my dad and uncle) so living in an environment such as this is usually hell. I'm surprised I haven't contracted some virus earlier given the dander, dust and carcinogens that are floating in the air.

Enter me, I worked six days, didn't quite get enough sleep the one night and... woke up with a fever and had to call in to work. I never call in icon_sad.gif Two days prior I had a wee bit of a stomach issue (felt more like heartburn/ulcer but I attributed it to a strenuous ab workout since behind my abs hurt)

Here we are in day two and I still have a fever. I don't really feel sick, which is the weird thing. I mean, it started with a throat issue, moved to a sinus infection and now I'm just a little chilly or (right now) sweating my balls off. Other than that, I'm fine. Orange juice, water and chicken soup are coursing through my veins right now. Must. Break. Fever.

    *shakes fist* Damn bugs!

That was me 2 weeks ago. Spent 4 days in bed sleeping and sweating my ass off. You just have to let it run its course.

    Nice rant.

Seriously... you will occasionally catch a bug, no matter how healthy and how careful you are. And it could have been from any number of things - you aren't living in a plastic bubble.
