God I hate the kind of politicians like the asshats in the above video. However I equally hate efforts to paint ALL Republicans with the same brush, because it is neither fair or accurate. I far prefer this Republican Colorado Senator's take on the "Civil Union" bill...

How many homocons would vote for them anyway? I don't know what's worse...these guys or the self-hating gay Republicans that would want to vote for them.

I don't know any "self-hating" Gay Republicans, but I do know quite a few self-righteous liberal hens who can't grasp the reality that not all gays think (or vote) a like -- and that this is okay.

Whether the gay republicans agree with what these representatives are saying, they're still voting for them.

Not necessarily. I certainly would never vote for a Republican like the ones featured in the video the OP posted. I don't think I know any other gay Republicans who would have either. You libs tend to see everything in an unrealistic black or white generality, ignoring that HUGE gray area that exists out there.

I didn't mean to suggest all gay republicans are voting for these hateful representatives, but I think I'm safe to say that most of them are.

How many people are aware of everything their representative has communicated? Not much. And when it comes to campaign ads, how many candidates are using an opponent's homophobic slant against them? Not many. So the news of these remarks will not be as widespread.

How many gay republicans in Colorado have seen this clip? How many are going to know about it? How many will remember the names come election day?

For most, seeing the R or D on the ballot is all they need to put a check.

And you base this on what credible knowledge that your have on "The Voting Pattern" of Gay Republicans?

I wasn't talking about the voting pattern of gay republicans, I was talking about the general public.

My latest comment moved away from gay republicans to the general public. I assumed you knew gay republicans are a subset of the general public, and exhibit similar voting patterns like most people.

One was going to say something as you did. So I'll just go:

    Bump.
