So guys I'm doing about 3,500 calories a day now. 400 grams of carbs and quite a bit of protein. I have gained about 4 lbs in 2 weeks.

Does that sound about accurate? I'm just curious if that is really slow growth and I should add another 200 calories or if that is good growth?

The slower you take it, the less likely you'll have stretch marks from growing faster than your skin can keep up.

4 lbs in 2 weeks is pretty rapid growth. On the other hand, people can have fluctuations in their weight depending on time of day, etc. Weigh yourself at the same point each time (before/after workout; morning/evening). You probably don't need to increase calories if that is how much you've actually gained.

And Paul is right, if you gain too fast, you can get those stretch marks on your anterior deltoid region.

And clog your arteries, but don't ask RJ ask a qualified Dr.icon_idea.gif
