I just realise from tv/ movies that male students in US colleges don't walk around in tank tops on campus, not even on warm days. Am I right?

Over here in Australia and New Zealand, on warm days, you'll see a number of guys in tanks on campus and boy, they are hot!

If I was going to use movies to judge what people wore, than I would believe people still wore tuxedos to casinos.

(Hell... I rarely wear sleeves and I'm the teacher :p)

The only thing you cannot wear at my college is saggy pants that shows your underwear.

Popular culture focuses on northeast colleges so as a kid I thought everyone in college wore madras shorts, polo shirts, white crew neck cable sweaters and tweed. At my Florida college the guys wore tank tops and Dolphin shorts. I wasn't disappointed. Good times.

This reminds me that I need to get my best suit to the cleaners. I am going on vacation and a suit and tie is what we all wear on planes.

I think it can depend on the school and whats up. I've seen them at Wichita State, especially during the warmer months... flip flops in particular... but a number of nice looking tank tops!

Uhm, no you are way wrong.

ASU is all about bro-tanks. It's pretty much required frat-wear.

    Bro-tank + preppy shorts + boat shoes = ASU's unofficial male uniform.

Bro-Tanks = Square Cut 2Xist tanks (or their like) IIRC?

Good to see that they are going mainstream beyond club gays and Jersey Shore guidos ... icon_biggrin.gif

    No.

At least...here, when a good looking, well-built guy wears a tank-top that is what it is called.
