I'm thankful for being able to see Chicago last week.
For spending time with my older brother before he goes back North.
    For being in good health.
    For being alive!

    What about you guys?

Hmmm, this one client I have is pretty cool, will make me enough money to take my GMAT and move to another part of the country where I can probably find work doing something I majored in.

Oh Im thankful for you making this uplifting topic, I agree too much depression is the bads!

Hey, that prostitution and ramen phase didn't last long. icon_wink.gif

I'm thankful for a partner who loves me, good friends, a good job, good health, and having plenty of stuff. For whatever reason I am still generally annoyed today, however.

My health. I've been bitching a lot lately about my ongoing sinus issues but I have to step back and be thankful that overall I'm of good health, in decent shape, and still feel...capable. I want to hold on to that until I can't!

OMG I'm thankful for so much! My life is at a place I thought it would never reach in my 20s; when death seemed more of a sure thing. I'm so thankful to of had the sun of good fortune shine down and bless my life in the way it has.

Good topic--there have been quite a few downer threads lately.

I tend to take a moment every day to go through the good things that happened, even if it was a crappy day overall. Let's see, so far today:

*beautiful day here in North Carolina; like summer without the humidity.

*got a call from one of my favorite former students; he wants to go drink beers with me sometime soon.

*took a long lunch and walked to one of my favorite lunch spots and ate outside in the sunshine.

*had a pretty productive day so far.

But yeah, all of the macro stuff, too:

    Great health

    Good fortune

    Wonderful friendships

Ability to do things for others

I'm thankful for the support system I've had the last several years.

They've been there for me a lot, providing much needed love and hugs, especially after a boyfriend's death in 2005, nursing school, and coming out to my family. I am forever grateful icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

I'm thankful for having real good friends who got me all cheered up after a 4-day holiday packed with fun. Lots of talks and parties, makes me appreciate my life more than chasing people who are not worth it.

I'm thankful that I live in San Francisco, where the sun shines about 350 days, out of the year, and snow is rarer than a church going atheist.

Wait, have I been indeed misinformed?

I was under the impression that San Francisco was very temperate and given to much fog and overcast-ness.
