The thought just struck me......how different are we from straight guys apart from the obvious..that is sexuality....
How often do we wonder that is one of my habits because maybe its a 'gay' thing..?
i mean are gay guys bad drivers ...or hv apprehensions of driving...or is it a case even in some sraight guys....
how about sports.....are they any good...bad or as good as straight guys...or better..here i am not only talking about interest...but level of proficiency...talent in sports...and we all know thr have been some really good gay sportsmen....but wanted a general perspective...

are they ready for a fight or tend to back off...are docile....
are gay guys more cleanliness freaks....something you associate with woman.....
    any other areas....?
    do they swear less...
inclination to a certain kind of films...a certain kind of music...different from what the usual straight guy wud pick...?
I know it won't be possible to generalise...and while some guys obviously have certain traits that define or manifest their sexuality.....there are also others who are difficult to distinguish....

guys it would be nice if you share your experiences...

We're very different, it is scientifically proven that gay people's homes are 86% more decorated than their straight male counterpart's, and up to five times more likely to clean their houses when straight males chooses to watch sports on TV. It was long believed that this was socially influenced, but now scientists believe to have found homedecorated caves by stoneage-homosexuals.

Homer Simpson: "It's not easy to juggle a pregnant wife and a troubled child, but somehow I managed to fit in eight hours of TV a day."

I think we all have our balance...

My home is probably more decorated and I do like watching home design shows, but I am a big slob.

I am not a huge sports fan, but I love to do the manly grilling of meat.

Everyone has a different combination of interests, traits, foibles, etc. That's what makes us interesting people.

You're a product of many elements. Family, friends, community and media culture. Somewhere in all of that is your idenity. You being gay is just another layer. Where do u fit between the drag queen and the real jock of gays?

Exactly. Just who the hell do you think I am? I'm not a label, I'm just me.

Mr troll....i would request you to either know what or who you are commenting on..or plz refrain from making such comments..coz you just personified a 'gay stereotype'........(no offense meant)
as for the rest...thanks for replying...i know 'i'm me'..and am coming to terms with it...
.but i have often wondered why i am not good in sports....i have been the ambitious kind..always wanting to excel..and sports has been my sore point...was good in most things in school except sports...
and after that in driving.....i hate to pick the wheels of a 4wheeler...hence i was wondering..are these traits because of my sexuality..or independant of it...
ok i know straight guys may not be very good in sports..but atleast most of them are interested in some form or the other....or maybe watch them.....or maybe its jst a 'stereotyope'....so jst wndering are there any common traits...any thin invisible under current apart from the obvious preference..that runs through all gay men..and then how do bisexuals fit in...i am thinking of taking up a sport.maybe tennis....concentrate on it..and see how i fare...and yes i love watching cookery shows...shows abt design, travel..etc....don't like to get my hands dirty...or slog it in the sun....
only serious comments plz no judgements or 'troll' comments coz thats what we hate right..'being judged' without knowing ..
i am just trying to know how different or similar i am

Well, I've had professional "aggressive" driver training, so my driving is pretty damn good when it needs to be. I can play volleyball (my favorite active sport) with the best of them, and usually win. I've kicked ass and gotten my ass kicked...and got a woody from it because fighting is fucking hot. My place is a mess...clean but cluttered...definitely not "womanly clean" by any means.

Oh and one more fucking thing, I don't fucking swear because swearing is the most vile, vicious, nasty, shitty, ignorant thing a fucking person can do. Only fucking cunts cuss. I'm a sweet goddamn angel.

No offense man but this is a thread just asking for extreme generalizations. I know you're trying to see other peoples perspective of the overall population but thinking in this mindset is your first problem.

We are all different, simple as that and generalizing gets you no where.

I feel like openly gay guys are more comfortable with "acting gay" than straight guys. Straight guys try to hide some of there feminine attributes, whereas openly gay guys embrace them. That's where the difference is. Straight guys hiding their feminine attributes doesn't make them more manly than we are.

If you would spend more time using Grindr and hooking up with random men, you would find that there are plenty of gay men who are just exactly like their straight brothers, they are fat, they are dirty, they have homes and apartments with dirty clothes on the floor and bad or no art on the walls, they have bad haircuts, they are ashamed of their bodies, they have an orgasm and fill with self hatred and regret, they are self destructive and they are addicts. They are also cute, sweet, loving, educated, employed, amazing, intelligent, worked out, brilliant, sexual and self reliant. They are a lot of things. Stop with the boxes.

I'm awesome at sports.... so i guess that means I'm straight.

Or maybe I'm gay, and you just happen to suck at sports.
