I love a good tan I swim during summer so I can get a bit darker. Darker skin has its benefits. Sad when someone goes to the beach and they BURN not tan....sucks for them.

I do not want to know what the pointy object is on the ground in front of the blue door.

It's great having a year-round tan. And tanning at the beach just gives me an even richer, darker caramel color. Lucky me.

That's right.

Tan lines aren't always perfect on everyone... I don't mind a messed up tan. I prefer to overlook the tan lines until the days after getting to know someone. Usually I'll be more caught up in what makes them awesome, unique and/or fun!

I tried spray tanning once and it looked horrible. Everyone knew that it was fake and it was really embarrassing walking around like that. Now I use a tanning bed about once a week so I'm not completely pale.

I'm blond with blue eyes, and I tan just fine. Still, I think tans are overrated. The natural look is totally fine by me. If someone gets tan from being physically active outdoors, that's totally cool. If that person sunbathes or goes to tanning salons? Not attractive at all.

I'm always amazed when I go back to Florida...my home state, and see just how AWFUL wrinkled and red the White people are there in comparison to non-beach states. There's been times I've even started turning mad dark skin but I've lightened up significantly over the years of not being there.

That said...I have a farmer's tan! LOL.

I am kind of a hybrid, my father was a very pale ginger and my mom very dark complexion. My sister is a very pale ginger with lot's of golden freckles. When I don't get sun for a long time, I revert to a very pale skin tone. It was great back in the 80's when I was cultivating a goth look with raven black hair

But when I get consistent sun, I turn very dark. And I stay dark a very long time. Now I tan once or twice a month, and I stay pretty dark. I like it. My Ex loved my skin tone, it was one of his favorite things about my looks.

Though I grew up thinking my mom was a 'black Scot' which is why she and I are dark, we recently found out a family secret that my great grandmother was a full blood Native American, so I am actually about 1/8 Native American (which I find a new and interesting twist to my history and I am proud of).

I like tan lines, it has a kind of vulnerable secret quality to it, that I find very sexy, especially a really white ass But I also find guys that are really pale just as sexy, creamy white skin with muscles is hot That red head above is very hot
