    Hey guys,

Just wondering how many of you have used the RJ workout plans. I'm looking to gain mass and I thought I'd change things up and have a look at doing the 12 week muscle building program. (http://www.realjock.com/workout/901/0).

After looking at it though, most of the days recommend 4 sets of 10-13 exercises. I usually do 4 sets of around 6 exercises. Is 10-13 too many?

    Thanks

Wow.. I never looked at that workout program till now. Seems excessive and a big waste of time. Too many isolation movements. Go pick up a copy of Starting Strength. Simple free weight exercises and compound movements.

Personally I do two muscle groups per workout session, and three or four exercises each.

I dunno.. Seems a lot of guys have had good results from the RJ routine. Maybe give it a try. If it doesn't work for you, then try something else .

    +1

Either Starting Strength (good) or Kris Gethin's 12-Week Daily Trainer (even better) are preferable to RJ's workout.

It's more volume than what you are used to? Good! Best way to grow is to keep changing things up every once in a while.
