    Partner, spouse, boyfriend, husband. No cutesy names.

    What is interesting is that he never actually calls me by name unless he's pissed off at me. "Hey, you, I love you" versus "Dammit, Showme, you forgot to take out the trash again!"

    I'll usually call a boyfriend "babe" in conversation. Nothing dramatic or especially cutesie, but it says he's special to me icon_smile.gif

    Yeah, my ex and I used to refer to each other as 'babe' or 'hun', seemed fairly unisex to me.

    We call each other babe. When we bicker I'll say things like .. "look lady you can kiss my ass" To others usually we will say this is my partner, better half, husband, BF. My guy. Again on a more joking note I've said.. This bitch is my friend with benefits that never goes the fuck home icon_smile.gif

    In non-BDSM settings: by his proper name or nickname.

    Within BDSM protocols:

    - boy (if he deserves it)
    - boy firstname {when introducing him to others, and spelled in all lower case in written communications}
    - fuckhole (in a scene)
    - useless little fuckstain/{variations on this theme} (if he is out of line and needs discipline)

    "fuckstain" I'm stealing that one. It has a lot of love behind it!!

    My ex and I used 'partner' to introduce us, I used 'dear' a lot when speaking to him though, not sure why.

    Gurl? Not if he wants to keep eating solid food.

    I don't remember having a pet name. I'll put that on my "to do" list.

    If we are referring to each other and our relationship in a conversation we say husband. If we are talking to each other he calls me Hudd (I have no idea why) and he is Maus.

    Usually call a guy I'm dating babe unless I'm pissed then I use his real name. I called my ex baby boy which he really loved. In the third person, I just refer to a guy as my boyfriend. I wouldn't call him hubby or husband until we were actually married.
