Why Can't Some Of You Live Near Me!?

I just did a search to see if I could find anyone near me that uses this site because most people on here are awesome... so when I search for verified people from Trinidad one match shows up and it's me.

So I tried searching just anyone with photos and all I get are mostly profiles with one pic and limited profile information and they rarely ever come on here... some of those pics I even remember from A4A (which is way more popular in Trinidad due to increase chance of hookups there).

It really just sucks that I can't make any gay friends or meet a guy without going to one of the very rare gay bars here which would end up outing me (which I can't do at this point in time) because I've heard from some people on A4A that the guys down here like to out other people especially if they're new guys to the scene.

It sucks here, can I please move to NYC... or somewhere with stage musicals... and live wrestling shows?

Edit: Kinda forgot the title of thread so I'll elaborate I guess... I wish some of the awesome guys on here would live here so I could at least have gay friends but then again, now thinking about it, I wouldn't want to condemn you guys to torture.

I thought everyone who lives on a continent was supposed to envy you island people in paradise?

Whoever said that... is an idiot. I admit there's pros to living here that I really love, but there's a lot of stuff that we're backwards on. If you really got the mentality of some people here, you'll realize why we can't make progress forward in pretty much anything. If people from Trinidad saw what I was saying here, they'd get mad because I'm bad talking the country but it's true.

Not gonna lie, I love the idea of vacationing on an island but not living on an island. I'd rather live out in the country before I do that lol.

There are a lot of things about living here that I love and some that I hate. It especially irks me when I know that the country can do better but it's because of the people themselves, people in power and the ordinary people, that hold the place back. There's a popular saying here that really explains it all... "they like it so." Most people like it this way, too lazy to change anything, so they don't.

Be patient, my friend. Once I'm back in Miami, I'm going for a p/t job flying cargo through the Caribbean. Then I can stop in for a drink and say hi every once in a while. icon_biggrin.gif

That sounds great! Word of caution, people see a guy like me with a guy like you not only would they think we're gay and become angry but the age difference would prompt them also to probably think you're some kinda pedophile or something (they would actually think that)... it's sad how backwards things are here.

No they wouldn't. We'll hang out at the airport in the pilot's lounge. Then they'll think you're a student pilot. icon_wink.gif

You can take me to the Mile High Club icon_razz.gif

And yeah here's full of closet cases (me included I guess) but I mean they're not even out to themselves and hate themselves for it.

These past two years I've lived in the suburbs of both NYC and Miami. I may as well be in Trinidad.

Since I'd only be there on business, it would be no problem to stay closeted there. I'm straight-acting, yo. icon_razz.gif

    NYC, don't know.
Miami, mostly yes, but pockets of bigotry scattered throughout the city.
Miami Beach (completely different city), mostly yes.

Invent teleportation. Problem solved, and get rich at the same time.

Yes, teleportation would be an amazing discovery. I'd use it to become a super hero like Nightcrawler.

That's not REAL teleportation. They just call it that so it sounds cooler.

It's the beginning stages of it, and proves the theory correct. At least we know it will be possible within the next few generations (long after we're dead and gone).

My limited understanding of it is that they're only making particle A behave exactly likely particle B. They're transferring information, not matter. They may never be able to instantaneously move matter from one location to another.

What you're referring to is quantum entanglement...completely different from a quantum leap. icon_wink.gif

What's so bad about your place?
