"drinko de mayo" sounds better IMO.

Just serve Mexican food, corn chips, salsa, nachos and margaritas!

I don't know - but I would love some coconut rum with pineapple juice and a shot of cranberry juice just to top it off. I don't know what it's called, but it's yummy....

I just sort of made that combination up when I was at an open bar party one time...

But I'm in the mood for a fruity rum drink. Sadly, I will not be drinking today.

Total bummer about you not drinking today but thanks for the drink idea!

Dude that is a great idea!

As for chinese (another quote) yeah I wish!

And yes I asked for more alcohol but people started to say I'm a bit of an alcoholic...

    I'm not an alcoholic...I'm just competitive! icon_biggrin.gif

Make some homemade guacamole (the spicier the better), pico de gallo, chips and of course lots of margaritas. A taco bar is an easy fix. Have some shredded beef, chicken or pork, lettuce, tomatoes, jack cheese, some spicy salsa, sliced avocados and lots of corn tortillas. Your guests can then make their own tacos. A big pot of cooked pinto beans and maybe some mexican rice would be a nice touch. Enjoy!

You got any home recipes for pico de gallo and mexician rice?

MMy mexican connection (my best friend and his family) moved so I need some down to earth cooking...meaning nothing out of a magazine!

Tequila drunk is a really terrible drunk, though. For some reason people just get extra sick and hungover from tequila.

merdia, i 4got the guac and arroz. glad someone else suggested it.

arroz is easy: saute thinly sliced onions, add rinsed and dried rice until they reach "la color de rosa" (translucent pink), add broth or water, add salt, ground cumino, tomato paste/sauce, and any veggies u may like (i prefer mine w/o tomatoes/peas/carrots, but it's ur choice), finish cooking like u do steamed rice.

    *everyone has their own recipes.

It's usually the sugar-laden mixers that cause the hangover.

I mean drinking straight tequila versus straight vodka or other liquors!

That, I would not know for certain, anyway. I'm probably too old to remember my binge-drinking days (or was I too drunk to remember).

Use Patron Silver. Aside from tasting fucking fabulous, it also leaves you feeling better in the morning, with no hangover.
