It seems to me that my pelvis expands wider than my ribcage. How am I supposed to get rid of that flank fat on the outside of my lower back when I am consistently told that I am "endomorphic" a somatotype by birth to be a fat ass? Ive concentrated my Abdominal exercises to crunches, obliques and back hyperextensions but it seems that after 3 months of training and dieting this same 10 pounds just dont wanna go no where. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Body type isn't something we can change, but we can always strive to be our best. I'm 44 and have loose skin, so looking like some of the beauties on here is unrealistic. However, I can still eat right and exercise to look and feel my best. Fortunately being fit is also an advantage for my work. I just need to keep my shirt on.

Imfamous- there is a buddy of mine at the gym who was a 54 waist- He decided 3 years ago not to be heavry anymore. He used to say he had child bearing hips that he got from his Mom. He is now a 32 waist. He had surgery just to remove excess skin, and he built his upper body way up. Noiw he looks like one of the best bods in the gym. Hard to tell because I can't see ur bod but he had it tough. Now he is happy and gets laid like brick! Good luck- build that upper bod. U will look more proportionate. ciao mike

Alas diet is the only way you are gonna bust that mother, but make sure your routine concentrates on widening the shoulders and the lats it will create the right illusion for a start which is part way there.

For variation on your ab exercises make sure you throw some woodchoppers in there they really tighten the obliques, but to be honest until you are lower in the body fat I wouldnt overtly concentrate on more than one ab exercise per session as it takes a hell of alot to make a marginal impact on calorie burning.
