Well after having an interesting night (well kinda horrible) I did what I usually do when I need to brighten my horizon...drive and listen to music.

So the sun was hidden by the clouds and going up a hill I found it was just a nice day then a song from my ipod came on call "Tuesday Afternoon" by The Moody Blues! I remember hearing this song when I used to go with my dad fishing and just hanging out with him!

He passed away two months ago and when I heard this song I started crying but ended up laughing cause it was just such a good memory of just living ya know?

So I was wondering if any of you guys have a song that takes you to a great part in your life?

Oh and by the way I'm back to smiling!!! icon_lol.gif

The song reminds me of the one man I loved. This was "our song" and it's odd that the video was made with scenes from a Pacific beach. That's where the two of us met. He's gone now for over 15 years and the song still brings warm feelings to me.

And to PROTOYPE above---I lost my dad just 8 months ago...I share the feeling.

Elton John's, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" always brings me back to the summer of 1994. 17 years old and driving around that entire summer in my silver '72 Mustang Mach 1. Good days, good memories.

Condolence on the loss of your dad. He introduced to your life some excellent music. Tuesday Afternoon is a great song.

I love so much of the 70s music, all of it brings me back to great times.

But this 80s number reminds me of the love of my life, who dressed up as Adam Ant at one of our last Halloweens before he died.

We were fucking crazy back then. I'm sometimes surprised one of us made it out alive.

So I guess it is a bitter-sweet memory. It would be even better if I still had him here. I still love you man...

First 45 I ever had when I was about 5. Well, it was my mom's, but not for long. I get teary eyed every time I hear it. Just better times all around.

I like this video because it helps you understand the lyrics (which are so horribly misquoted....)

"Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind. I was in Basic Training and some of my fellow trainees had the sheet music with the words to it. 4 of us would sing it at night when the drill sergeants left us for the day. Not the best song acapella, but it was all we had that wasn't military. Any song from the late 90's takes me back to the best time of my life: When I was in the Army. I still regret leaving.

I have many, but this time period was very signifigant in my life (spring 2008 ). At the time it was rough, but in hindsight I was very fond of this.

Smashing pumpkins- Tonight tonight: My school best friend
Green day- Basket case: School summer's
Paula Cole- I dont want to wait: Spring's seasons
Oasis- Dont go away: Fall's seasons
Blink 182- Adam's song: Part of my teenage
RHCP- All around the world: When i was in the high school swim team
Emanuel- Sentirme vivo: My first love
Vico C- Bomba para fincar: Teen party's
Kyo- Qui je suis: french classes

and the list would be endless but it is funny how a song can change ur scene suddenly...

Every time I hear "Southern Cross" by CSN it puts me back in the nets of the Welakahao Waikiki Rigger sailing off Diamond Head, and makes me smile....
