'Do as I say, not as I do'

    http://dailycaller.com/2012/05/06/obama-campaign-office-staff-lacks-racial-diversity-may-violate-civil-rights-law/#disqus_thread

Civil rights lawyers told The Daily Caller that President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign managers may have violated employment law by hiring an overwhelmingly white office staff for his campaign headquarters in Chicago.

That skewed workforce is starkly visible in an April photo released by Obama’s Chicago office, which shows roughly 100 of the office’s staff.

Only two of the people in the photo, far in the back, are clearly African-American, far below their 13 percent of the national population, and their 33-percent representation in Chicago.

“Were I the general counsel of an employer in Chicago with the workforce in the picture … I would be concerned,” said Charles Shanor, a law professor at Emory University and the former general counsel at the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission.

“The workforce is overwhelmingly made up of young white males [and is] a demographic profile that could raise red flags under both Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act,” he told TheDC.

If asked by managers, “‘Do we run a risk of legal liability?’ I would say ‘Sure,’” if a company’s picture showed only two African-Americans in a staff of 100, said Northeastern University’s Roger Abrams, a left-of-center law professor and former dean of the Rutgers School of Law.

Skewed hiring happens, Abrams told TheDC, because “people are simply not aware of what they’re doing … [or that] the racism, the sexism, the discrimination on the basis of other grounds, are just a way of life.”

Who can take seriously diversity complaints from The Daily Caller, a site which joined with white supremacist hackers to try to smear the reputation of a unarmed dead teenager to serve the right's race- and gun-obsessions?

This story needs a more credible source.

Please reference. Also if you're referring to Zimmerman, is he white?

No, you can Google. It's the information age, after all.

As to Zimmerman's whiteness or lack thereof, you'll have to ask him about it since he apparently told whichever officer interviewed him that he was white when he was interviewed, as that was his race as record on the initial police report. But maybe that's just something he trots out when he gets in trouble, as he did during his prior arrests for domestic violence, resisting arrest, and assault on a police officer.

Ah so the "unarmed dead teenager" was completely blameless? Like seriously? There has been a lot of "fog" in this story, without various nuts getting all sanctimonious about what happened. Zimmerman also protested the treatment of a black man in the past. The story is far less simple than you make it out to be. It's too bad you can't recognize that with your blinders on.

As to how the Daily Caller has treated this story, you can read it for yourself and look into the references "It's the information age, after all."

Tucker Carlson's vanity site (funded by Sheldon ADelson no less) isn't worth the bandwidth it's taking up. They frequently post news stories claiming how people are outraged at something Obama has done, failing to note those same people are their op-ed writers.

So once again we're forced to ask of Riddler: "cynical or stupid?"

Oh Christian - once again inflating your sense of self importance icon_rolleyes.gif. Is the story wrong in any factual way? Or is this just another one of your posts that you refuse to believe because of either the source or because it's something you choose not to believe as it goes against your facile world view?

The Daily Caller is not a news site. It is a vanity site.

Article published there should be treated with all the seriousness one gives Perez Hilton.

Christian, it's your choice to read whatever sites you want to read and ignore the rest. I read from many liberal sources, and I'm sure Riddler does as well. I even agree with points made on a liberal site once in a while. I have posted articles here from the NY Times, Wash Post, and Huffington Post, for example.

The reason I bring it up is to explain why some of you get totally obliterated when you go up against Riddler, and probably don't even realize it much of the time. It's like playing chess when you are thinking only of the next move and the opponent is thinking the next 5 moves. It's like bringing a knife to a gun fight. That's why some of you guys can only comment about the source because you aren't equipped to discuss the facts. It's why some guys insult Riddler out of frustration at being totally outgunned. Some of you guys aren't stupid, even though many of you often give a pretty good impression. When you fail to see other arguments, read other sources, it really shows in your very weak and shallow arguments. You could improve by giving as careful thought to those as we give to liberal sources, but I don't think you have it in you.

Please don't be dumb. All hispanics in this country have no choice but to choose "white" before they mark the extra qualification of "hispanic or latino of any race". He has always identified as hispanic per records. It doesn't matter what he identifies as anyway. Why does it matter so much to you? He is OBVIOUSLY not white.

lol, "the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act,(1967)" - from the article, neither of which was penned or made law by Obama, so how is this do as I say but not as I do?

The article said , "....a demographic profile that could raise red flags...

....which is different from DOES raise red flags.
