When to hit the supporting muscles.

I'm trying splitting up working the main stuff, then supporting stuff. My question is if there's any merit to working supporting or balancing muscles on a different day than the big ones?

I'm thinking about working the supporting ones today, and keeping the heavy lifting for tomorrow and wednesday, then rest, so three days on for one off.

And if that does work, would it be better to work the supporting stuff on the first day or the last day?

I'm gonna dig around and find some better terminology so that my question is more clear, but if you get what I'm saying, I could use the advice.

basically about anything you do will stimulate muscle growth. the main thing is to switch things up every now and then. i've done what you're talking about. many guys will say they know the only way to do things or that your idea won't work, but stimulating the muscles is where you start. as long as you're doing that, the day of the week doesnt matter.
