The last one says "Nothing to do...hands in pockets".

Edit: I just realized the very last one on the right got completely cut off:
    "I'm totally NOT hungover"

A person sitting in a coffee shop wouldn't be standing in the line

"I just can't make up my mind!" (After standing in line for ten minutes, and now at the front.)

"Wants coffee but doesn't like the flavor."
    "Soon to be hung over."

What the doodle doesn't show is that none of them make up their mind about what they want while in the line. They dither at the counter, agonizing over making a choice instead. icon_evil.gif

EDIT: LOL, I didn't notice MsclDrew's post above.

I posted the same thing on Facebook. But you got it right, everyone does it. Even if they know what they want, they feel like they have to first play Where's Waldo with the ever-changing menu boards. icon_razz.gif

This is something I never have to deal with because for some irrational reason I have this bias against the pretense of coffeehouses. You might say I was anti-hipster even pre-grunge.

Years before "Starbucks" and "Central Perk" from "Friends," when coffee consumption amongst the young was in decline, when I'd meet friends at real NYC coffeehouses like La Fortuna where they'd nurse tiramisu with their black coffees unless they were feeling sufficiently hardcore to slam back espresso shots, I visited this revolutionary new coffee shop with comfy chairs and overstuffed sofas, books and board games in Los Angeles on Santa Monica Boulevard and thought "if I could open something like this in New York I'd make a mint." Never did though because while I found the marriage of ice cream parlors and coffee shops brilliant I always thought the concept pretentious and the naked practice of hooking children on caffeine as obnoxious and against my principles as "Joe Camel." I particularly avoided Starbucks and its ilk, and in fact have only been to a Starbucks maybe three times in my life. (Those "Glee" scenes with Kurt and Blaine establishing mocha lattes as the new normal for high school sophomores? Retch!) Guess I'm missing out.

The person who stands so close to the other person in front of them, that they can feel the breath on the back of their neck, and usually the smell (tends to be foul) of the person behind them. Then when the person moves forward and inch to escape, the person behind creeps forward too.
