Soo soo sad. Bullying doesn't only affect gay teens, it can affect anyone whether black or yellow or brown or white or straight or gay -- in this case just a typical nice looking white girl.

    My point of this.

Hell, I got picked on too. Until I did what needed to be done.

Seriously the adults at the school should have done more. Teachers spend 1/3 of the day, five days a week, 9 months out of the year with these kids. They can't tell me they don't know who the bullies are and who their targets are. Most teachers/staff just look the other way at the cost of these kids lives.

This poor young girl was so beautiful and had her entire life ahead of her. It is such a shame. R.I.P sweet little girl.icon_cry.gif

Was social media around when Mitt Romney was terrorizing his gay classmates with sharp objects?

It's sad how bad bullying has gotten. I was bullied when I was younger, but the mechanisms of bullying have changed so much. Bullying was kind of a why of life. Most kids got it at some point. Now there is this Cyber Bullying. To be bullied that much to committ suicide is awful. No one deserves that.

When you're picking on people who are weaker than you so often that you lose track of the gay kid, vs. the blind teacher, vs. the little guy you fired, vs. the vs. the people you want to deny marriage rights, vs. the dog on the roof etc etc etc.

    Suicide...
Permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Bullying is stupid and should stop.

But killing yourself over a idiot bully is more stupid.

I love this song. Good message, good singing, and throw a little Kid Cudi in there.

Anybody else think that Minnesota has a shockingly high bullying-related suicide rate or is it just me?

I take serious offense at your "most" statement. I'm not sure what experiences you had in school, but I am a teacher and I know plenty of teachers. I don't take it lightly and neither do the teachers I know. Yes, there are bad or even apathetic teachers out there, just as there are in every profession, but for you to lump teachers together as looking the other way because of This tragedy is outrageous.

So sad! To not even know how beautiful life can really be and lose it only @ 13 y/o, wow. To one second have a life and the next its gone. Hopefully others will realize how badly it feels to be bullied based on whatever rationality the bully(s) may have. Hopefully gays will stop putting each other down too just because of superficial things like appearance. There's no reason for it. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Oh brother.....you know what people have told me since i was that age and being bullied and shit on all my life? I quote "Stop being melodramatic." These kids need to stop being "martyrs;" no one is really listening, no one ever will.

    There you go.

We've always had bullying and hazing, and certainly did when I was in school 50 yrs ago. It will probably never stop, but I do wish folks would stop and think once in a while.

southbeach1500 saidOnce again... "Anti-gay bullying laws" do nothing!!!!

When are you liberal gay drones going to finally wake up? These laws are only on the books so that politicians can pat themselves on the back for "doing something" and of course to bait gays into voting for them over and over and over again.

You know what does something? Laws banning gay marriage.

When are you right wing self-loathing gay conservatives going to wake up and realize the politicians you support do not think you're deserving of freedom and equality?

Did laws against assault and rape stop assaults and rapes from occurring?

Obviously not, but they act as a deterrent with some people, and are there to be applied when it occurs.

    Another SB logic fail.

Instead of staying on a conservative site, trying to enlighten or educate conservatives about gay people, SB stays here, through years of enduring disdain and mockery, to educate gay men on how ridiculous we are.

As disgusting as this is I need to bring up the fact that many of the people who are writing how awful and how terrible they feel
Call the bullying of presumed gay men by a certain republican candidate lies and/or exaggerations

Should I be ashamed for you? Or are you ashamed enough for yourselves?
