He damaged the tip waving it in front of the house when my bf's friend came over. I have no idea what he hit it with but it was bleeding from the tip. Now every time I come over he goes crazy waving his tail and it is a matter of time before the entrance looks like a crime scene. What the fuck should i do with his tail besides taping it cause I already tried that and it keeps coming off.

If it really is bad take him to the vet. Otherwise get a hand cloth and fashion it in place on the wound. Maybe you should clean the cut with soap and water too. What kind of dog?

The drug store may have a blood coagulating powder, like you can use when you cut yourself shaving.

Half Lab - Half Poodle. 9 months, 80 lbs. He doesnt look like on this picture anymore cause I trimmed his hair down very short. Now his tail has no cushioning because the hair is very very short.

Try using that liquid bandaid stuff. My dog got a cut in his ear and it also ended up getting all over the walls. It actually worked...

Go to the vet - might need stitches or something if the wound keeps opening.

Because dog's anatomy differs from other animals in terms of their blood clotting and where major veins and such go, damage to their tails almost always need stitches (it takes practically no time and will probably only be a stitch or two) you can try putting vaseline on it first, sometimes that can slow bleeding enough to clot.

Hire a vampire to suck the blood till it stops bleeding.

Try using duct tape to keep the bandage on, and use a lot of duct tape. When it comes time to take it off, use nail polish remover (acetone) to loosen the glue so it doesn't pull on the dogs fur.

If the dog ends up nibbling off the bandage you might need put his/her head in a cone of shame.

sounds extreme but I might have to do just that. We are leaving to Mexico on vacation for 1 week with a bunch of friends and my dog will stay at my bf's parents place in the backyard so if hurts himself again it might take a few hours before anybody notices it icon_sad.gif
