According to the ISRAELI LOBBY AIPAC you are not to be informed of these facts nor to see them as any other than Anti Israel and Anti Semitic exagerations to bring down and delegitimise and Isolate Israel. AIPAC regularly lobbies our Congress and miriad of other sources of power to stop these facts from becoming common Knowledge because it cuts into the funds coming from the US to Israel that supports the atrosities against the Palestinians.

"The resolution portrays the situation on the ground," a senior European diplomat said. "The moment Ashton, the Germans, the French and the British pushed this forward the process could not be stopped."

"A senior Israeli Foreign Ministry official said that in the past two weeks Israel has tried to block the conclusion. Israeli ambassadors in a number of European capitals filed vehement protests to their host government, in which they argued that the resolution would complicate efforts to renew peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. They also argued that the new unity government in Jerusalem is in a strong position to renew the peace talks, and that a negative message from EU foreign ministers would only encourage Palestinian intransigence. "

Consider this: Is it 'Intransigence' for the Palestinians to insist that the Israeli's stop the settlement building? Or is it 'intransigence' for Israel to keep building those settlements against international law on 'occupied' land planned for for a Palestinians homeland?

Seems to reasonable people that the theft of land for settlements is where the 'intransigence' is coming from.

More to come from the 27 EU leaders in Europe who researched for the truth of what Israeli's are doing to Palestinians against international law and against peace.

More from the above article on Haaretz News by Barak Ravid

"The 27 foreign ministers of the European Union are expected on Sunday to issue a harsh denunciation of Israel's activities on the West Bank. The EU's Foreign Affairs Council will criticize violence by Jewish settlers against Palestinians and will call on Israel to remove restrictions on Palestinian construction and economic development projects in Area C of the West Bank, which under the Oslo Accords was under exclusive Israeli control.

The condemnation, contained in an official council conclusion, is exceptional because of its length - three pages - as well as its detailed accounting of Israeli actions in the West Bank in the past several months. According to a high-ranking European diplomat who has seen a draft of the resolution, the EU foreign ministers will rebuke Israel for the expansion of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. They will denounce settler violence against Palestinians and call on the Israeli government to prosecute such actions.

Meanwhile, at a meeting in Ramallah on Saturday Netanyahu's envoy for the peace process, attorney Isaac Molho, gave Abbas a letter from Netanyahu on the impasse in the peace process. It was a response to a letter to Netanyahu from Abbas from a few weeks ago, in which the PA leader blamed Israel for the derailment of the peace process.

A senior Israeli official said that in his response Netanyahu called for the immediate resumption of talks without preconditions, but did not propose any new ideas.

Before meeting with Molho, Abbas spoke on the phone with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The EU resolution demands that Israel allow Palestinians to build houses and be allowed more freedom to pursue economic activity in Area C, which comprises more than half of the area of the West Bank. Additionally, it calls on Israel to allow the EU to help the Palestinians to build economic infrastructure projects and to refrain from destroying them, as has happened a few times in the past few months. Pressure from the International community is behind the Israeli Ministers about face in now deciding to block their bill to go against their Supreme Court and Annex West Bank Settlements.

If Abbas had not gone to the UN/International Community, to bring attention to their plight due to Israel's theft of Palestine Homeland these decisions would be made. The Far right LIKUDS would be all the more determinied in their theft.

Here's another Article from Haaretz News, by Jonathan Lis

"In about-face, Israeli ministers block bill to annex West Bank settlements
Legislation geared at applying Israeli law on settlements blocked after Justice Minister tells Ministerial Committee for Legislation that Netanyahu is opposed to the bill.
A ministerial legislation panel rejected a bill geared at applying Israeli law on settlements in the West Bank on Sunday, following an intervention by Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman.

The justice minister's move came after it had become apparent that the bill would pass the Ministerial Committee for Legislation, after nine of the panel's members indicated that they would back the legislation.

At that point, Neeman attempted to convince the bill's initiator Likud MK Miri Regev to postpone the vote to a later date, in a bid to avert a head-on collision between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government and the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama.

As a result of Regev's continued insistence, Neeman made it clear that it was Netanyahu's position to vote against the bill, at which point panel members reversed their original votes.

If Regev's bill would have passed the committee, it would also have been directed to a Knesset vote later this week, which would have necessitated all 94 coalition members, including those from Kadima, to support the legislation.

What this would have meant is that the bill's approval would have given it an automatic majority, something which could have both embarrassed Kadima as well as strained Israel's ties with both the United States and Europe."

"The announcement criticizes settler violence against Palestinians. "The EU expresses deep concern regarding settler extremism and incitement by settlers in the West Bank," the statement read. "The EU condemns continuous settler violence and deliberate provocations against Palestinian civilians. It calls on the government of Israel to bring the perpetrators to justice and to comply with its obligations under international law.

The announcement lists a series of actions taken by Israel in the West Bank in recent months - marked acceleration of settlement construction following the end of the 2010
Moratorium, the decision grant legal status to the Bruchin, Sansana and Rechalim outposts, and the plan to move the illegal outpost of Migron to a different area in the West Bank and create a new settlement.

They also said that there living conditions in Area C, in which Israel has civilian and security control, have deteriorated: "There are limitations for the PA to promote the economic development of Palestinian communities in Area C," they said. "Social and economic developments in Area C are of critical importance for the viability of a future Palestinian state, as Area C is its main land reserve. The EU calls upon Israel to meet its obligations regarding the living conditions of the Palestinian population in Area C, including… forced transfer of population and demolition of Palestinian housing."

The EU document also states that "settlements remain illegal under international law, irrespective of recent decisions by the government of Israel. The EU reiterates that it will not recognize any changes to the pre-1967 borders including with regard to Jerusalem, other than those agreed by the parties." They also reaffirmed their commitment to implement existing EU legislation applicable to settlement products.

"Israel's Foreign Ministry flatly rejected the EU's claims. "The conclusions of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on the Middle East Peace Process include a long list of claims and criticism which are based on a partial, biased and one sided depiction of realities on the ground. Such a public presentation does not contribute to advance the process.

Officials added that Israel Israel is committed to the well being of the Palestinian population and acts according to all relevant international conventions."
