I think there are prescription drugs that have certain side effects, like diabetes and heart disease plus weight gain.

    Not worth it.

Gaining a "decent belly" in a short period of time is not good at all for your health. Take it from a guy who has a more then decent belly, it is totally not worth the money to endanger your health and life.

Stop working out, eat super sized fast food every day and win a hospital bill for the massive MI you will have. Good luck you'll need that 1,500 to pay the medical bills.

The belly could kill you in the long term. Is it worth the possible maybe might win the competiion chance?

When you gain body fat, your body and metabolism make a memory or impression of that state and will try to regain that level of fat storage for a long time, maybe a lifetime. Making it harder to get it off and then keep it off later. Your body will start to work against you. If you want to battle with a belly the rest of your life, go for it. But it seems entirely stupid to willingly put yourself in that situation. And for $1,500?

That's the typical weight-related contest turned on its head.

    But I don't believe it.

If you go to the fit2fat2fit web site- If you look the guy - Drew - is finding it's harder to get back to fit than he realized.

Edit: He hasn't updated his progress since February, but after some investigating - he has "gone dark" on his weight loss because of a TV appearance in June - I guess for his final weigh in - so I guess I we will see in June how he has bounced back. I'm not 100% sure he will be back to his former glory, but I do hope so.

So be careful with a project like this. You can damage yourself and find that it's not as easy to recover from it as you think.

I don't know what the goal of the contest is - but have you seen this video?

Yes, the OP wants to reverse-engineer his current belly.

Running backwards is a great way to accomplish that.
