So I am watching *Quantum of Solace on USA and thought to myself, my god this is like the 10 times I'm watching this and I don't get bored. I owned about 15 bond dvds for god sakes! I am such a big fan. Any of you guys here love Bond 007, too? So let's do a ranking, share your favorite/least Bond whatever. I will just refer to some favorites and not all films in the series.

*** list below based on my taste/opinions, please don't bash it. icon_wink.gif

Best Films - Goldfinger, From Russia with Love, You Only Live Twice, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, The Living Daylights, Tomorrow never Dies, A View to a Kill, The World is not Enough (even some critics might slam some of these films but I really like them).

Worst: - Man with the Golden Gun, Octopussy, Licence to Kill, Dr No, Die Another Day.

Best Bond Actors: I love love love Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan.

Best/Sexiest Villains: I really like the Korean actor Rick Yune/Zao from Die Another Day and Toby Stephens (Colonel Moon) from the same film. Sophie Marceau as Elektra King from the World is not enough. Christopher Walken in A View to a Kill. The Gay duo in Diamonds are forever. (mr Wint and mr Kidd).

Best Theme songs: A View to A Kill (Duran Duran); Shirley Bassey - Diamonds are Forever, A ha - Living Daylights! Chris Cornel - Casino Royale theme.

Best bond girls: I like Michelle Yeoh in Tomorrow Never Dies, Barbara Bach from the Spy who loved me, Grace Jones in A View to a kill. Carole Bouquet in For Your Eyes Only.

All right, some of these for now, let me know your thoughts. Oh yeah I can not wait for SKYFALL release in November later this year. icon_biggrin.gif

While "Golden Gun" may have marked the low point for the Bond franchise, I've probably watched it the most because, being the AMC car fan that I am, was one of the few movies (John Denver's Oh God being another) that AMC sponsored. The Astro-Spiral canal jump with the Hornet Hatchback was pretty awesome, and was one of the first automotive stunts modeled first on a computer, before being done in real-life

Octopussy is classic, campy, Roger Moore. It may be corny as hell, but when I was a little boy, it was the best thing ever.

I felt Quantum of Solace was a big letdown after Casino Royale. Hopefully the next one will be redeeming.

Goldfinger, because it holds special meaning for me, and at the time a movie like that was groundbreaking in the US, full of special effects and excitement we take for granted now. With Sean Connery at his peak - YUM!

I had gotten fed up with boys prep school, and NYC was so near by. So I started playing hooky, part of my day in Manhattan spent going to the movies, including Radio City with a floor show, wearing a suit, topcoat, hat, briefcase in hand. Goldfinger was one, about 3 or 4 times. But also museums, libraries and other cultural places, that's just me.

Imagine my surprise when a few years later, enlisting in the US Army, I was assigned to Ft. Knox, KY, and daily saw the same locations used in Goldfinger. Likewise Stripes some years afterwards, also shot at Ft. Knox, and at the Jim Beam distillery at nearby Louisville, passing for Czechoslovakia.

The Roger Moore era is my favourite, because the scripts and actors do not take themselves too seriously and the location shoots are like a travelog.

When I saw this video I thought Simon Le Bon was like the hottest musician at the time! icon_redface.gifI had fantasies about him when I was 11-12 yo. icon_eek.gifThis single is the only Bond Theme to top #1 on the US Billboard charts back in 1985. Enough said.

Huge Bond fan here, too. I grew up with Roger Moore, so he's higher on my list, than most other people's list. Daniel Craig is phenomenal and I can't wait for "Skyfall".

Love the music most of all, not the songs. I love working out to my favorite soundtrack-pieces. I love that they've released CDs with previously unpublished pieces from the older movies.

Best Movie: Moonraker (my first to see in theaters when it opened)
Also Ran: Live and let die, Spy who loved me, For your eyes only, Casino Royale, From Russia with Love, On her majesty's secret service

    worst: Golden Gun,
also limped: Tomorrow never dies, Diamonds are forever

Best Girl: whatever her name was in Goldeneye
worst: Tanya Roberts (they should have killed her off instead of Grace Jones)

    Best villains: Goldfinger, Xena Onatop

worst song: Nobody does it zzzzzzzzz

Hehehe, when you mentioned Tanya Roberts, I can't stop but thinking the scene on the GG bridge, she was like *Oh James, Oh, Help Me! lol icon_rolleyes.gif That chick was just there just because she's a pretty blond hehehe. Femme Janksen in Golden Eye aka Xenia Onatopp is great, agreed. Funny how other guys love Nobody does it better! It's an all right song, didn't do much to me though. icon_lol.gif

I love the Lotus Esprit car in TSWLM, too. Now, question is where can we find an underwater/submarine car like that today? The Aston Martin is HOT in CR, agreed. icon_wink.gif

Best Bonds: Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan (early Pierce, not later Pierce) and Roger Moore.

Best films (in no particular order): Spy Who Loved Me, Casino Royale, GoldenEye,

Worst: I don't consider any of them bad per se; the ones I didn't like are so because the plot line wasn't interesting to me.

Best songs (in no particular order): Spy Who Loved Me, GoldenEye, You Only Live Twice, The World Is Not Enough, Live and Let Die, We Have All The Time In The World

    Worst: Tomorrow Never Dies

    Can't wait for Skyfall!!!

If they'd eliminated all of Tanya Robert's "Oh James", "Help me James" lines she'd have lost 2/3 of her lines.
I love when a character is allowed to have sense of humor/and or has great lines. That's why I love both 'girls' from Goldeneye so much, Famke and Izabella.

    "Spy" was my first Bond film ever and after that high energy ski-chase that so n g w o u l d n o t e n d.

Even though I was a DD fan at the time 'A view to a kill' was disappointing to me. If it hadn't been for John Barry's support, that song would have been a snooze as well. 2 years later I liked Aha's "the Living Daylights" so much better.
