    El escritor Carlos Fuentes, de 83 años de edad y quien es considerado uno de los literatos mexicanos más reconocidos internacionalmente, perdió la vida este martes 15 de mayo.

    El Presidente Felipe Calderón ha sido uno de los primeros personajes en reaccionar a la noticia a través de su cuenta de Twitter: “Lamento profundamente el fallecimiento de nuestro querido y admirado Carlos Fuentes, escritor y mexicano universal. Descanse en paz”.

    “No existe la libertad, sino la búsqueda de la libertad, y esa búsqueda es la que nos hace libres”.


    Writer Carlos Fuentes, 83 years old and considered one of the Mexico`s most internationally reknowned authors, past away this Wednesday, 15th of May.

    Mexican President Felipe Claderon was one of the first people to react to the announcement on his Twitter account. ` I regret deeply the passing of our dear and admired Carlos Fuentes,writer and universal Mexican. Rest In Peace.

    Freedom doesn`t exist without the quest for freedom and that quest is what makes us free.

    Yo leí "La Muerte de Artemio Cruz" en la secundaria. Es fenomenal. Hay una parte del libro que habla de la palabra "chingar" y los varios usos.

    I met him in person since there's a public library that was named after him in my hometown in Mexico, I didn't know he'd died, RIP. icon_cry.gif
