Finaly out of Afghanistan. Our flight took 16 hours with 1 layover in Anchorage. It was interesting, because instead of flying us west through Europe we went east over Russia. Cut about 6 hours off from our journey.

However, not out of the woods yet. We still have many of our soldiers from my unit still waitng on flights out of Kandahar. To al of my brothers and sisters in the 4th Infantry Division: stay strong, you're almost home. Keep you head down. Now is not the time to be getting complacent. Come home soon.

    Welcome home, stud!
My brother is on his way to Kandahar in a few days, but his Air Force deployment is only 3 months this time.

Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet, for I can't think of anything original in comparison to what everyone here has already stated. So I'll join the chorus.

    Welcome Home!!

We cannot thank you enough for all you've done for us.

    Peace,
    Bardy
