As a Gay Republican, which issues can you foresee becoming important to you during the Romney administration?

If Romney wins, what's next for Gay Republicans?

The realization of their 2nd class citizenship and their total exclusion from the 'party' (unless they keep their traps shut tight get their asses back into the closet with the door slammed shut tightly and act like macho men with wives)

Is anyone here either a member of the Log Cabin Republicans or GOProud?
I wonder what work those groups plan to advocate during a Romney administration.

The 'repugnantlicans' are about as welcome at my door as fundies are.. they are greeted and then told immediately to vacate my property or Ill have to (fill in the blank) and it includes a defensive weapon!

    Prosperity.

Possibly followed by a RJ celebration on inauguration day at a nice resort somewhere. Starting with a Champagne toast to prosperity returning to the US.

Well, I'm not wanting to be mean here; there are some very good points to fiscal conservation, however the price-tag attached to the Republican one is enormous in human-rights cost.

As much as Bill and I see 'liberal hens' thrown around on here, the worse alternative is to be an ostrich.

Oh its not being mean.. and I am all for fiscal conservation.. its the hypocrisy and the bad faith dealing that's going on that I am angry about.
And yes the human factor is an 'expendable' to these frauds.

The majority of gays and lesbians - being 99%ers - will suffer economically under the Romney administration, who will also use them as whipping boys and girls to keep the evangelical Christians on his side. I would expect a redux of 2004 in 2016 when he runs for a second term.

I would also expect that continued or greater financial chicanery will results in additional shocks to the economy which will result in even more suffering until the poor and middle class consolidate into a vast voting block that tries to reclaim the government via elections and - if Romney steals a second election a la Bush - results in civil and possibly armed unrest.

And I'm not being even remotely facetious or hyperbolic.

Whatever issues concerning gay rights that they advocate are not likely to be accepted by the Romney administration.

For gay Republicans, the only positive thing for them would be the Republican side of things. Nothing about their sexual orientation.

You'll want to keep drinking as it might ease the pain to come.

Romney has signed the NOM pledge stating that he will sign a constitutional amendment to Ban Gay Marriage-----no longer leaving it to the states to decide.

As the Religious Right of Evangelicals, the Catholic hierarchy and The Mormon Church exert more power to fight against gay rights, do Gay Republicans plan to voice any opposition?

    Sounds Magical............and VAGUE.

Romney has given us no clues as to how he would bring about this 'prosperity'.
But if you know Mitt's mind better than he does, please explain his plans.

    Uh... no.

Actually, they totally will. It's not even debatable. He's going to cut taxes even more than GWB for the wealthy and raise them on everyone else.

Perhaps you should read his policy positions before you vote. icon_rolleyes.gif

Of course we do. But we also don't live our lives wallowing in pessimism.

Oh yeah, that's right. They'll just go back in the closet and give a big "fuck you" to everyone who remains out.

It doesn't exactly take a genius to see the trend in history where the asswipes always lose big eventually, but it does take brains that have something other than pork parasites to think with.

There won't be any gay Republicans, because they won't dare to be public about it.
Or, maybe they'll all be sent to Guantanamo for water boarding, as a cure for their homosexuality.
