Israeli parliament rejects inter-faith marriage

    legislation for the opinion of Civil marriage for Israeli citizens who cannot be wed via religus institutions, including same sex marriage and marriages between members of diffrent faiths, like Muslims and jews, was rejected by the Israeli parliament or Knesset.

    Given their history you would think they'd want to distance themselves from claims of racism and homophobia. Some people don't learn from history.

    From my daily reading of several Israeli News sites, the Knesset has swung even more drastically to the right than even the US congress has, we can chalk up this decision to that fanaticism.

    This is also why Israel is in trouble with the world bodies because they're Leaders are anything but seeking peace through their settlement adventures and letting the religious fanatics have their way in everything from the settler disputes to separating women from men in some communities ran by religious fanatics. Check me out and I'm sure you'll see what I mean by all the stories by Jewish writers who are disgusted over the turn of events.
