Obama would have an advantage of 46 percent to 39 percent over Romney, if the election were held today. Three weeks ago the candidates were tied at 46 percent each.

The national poll, released Wednesday, shows the president’s lead is just outside the poll’s margin of sampling error.

The gender gap is alive and well, as women continue to be more likely to back Obama (55 percent to 33 percent), while men are more inclined to support Romney (46 to 37 percent).

It is a poll of registered voters. Polls of likely voters tell a different story. If you go to RCP, 3 of the 4 likely voters polls show Romney in the lead. The 4th one is a tie.

Point being: It's gonna be a long trip and prognosticating at this point is futile.

Agree completely and I think polls will ebb and flow. But from my perspective, what I particularly enjoy is seeing the predictions on how the primaries damaged the candidates to be not borne out.

As usual, Socal give a radical interpretation of the text.

It's entirely too soon to tell how much the primaries damaged Romney in particular or the party as a whole.

And spin it is all you'll do, like a tire spinning in the mud. Already had practice refuting it in the primaries - will not have effect compared to the Obama lack of performance.

Happy to let you know OBAMA no longer leads here in Wisconsin like i predicted....when Walker wins the recall election on June 5th, Wiscons will go red in the fall election and as Wisconsin goes so will the country. I forgot who said Wisconsin wasnt a swing state but this recall election is huge for the fall election

I would say I would be shocked if America elected Romney of Obama but after re-electing Bush I no longer have the capability at being shocked at what the American public will vote for.

Vote for someone who believes in our country instead of apologizing for it.

Shut the fuck up. Obama has never "apologized" for the United States and Romney isn't a scab on his ass in terms of patriotism or moral values.

Bullshit, that's all he has done since he was elected is say how America needs to "tone down" its footprint on the world. Apologized for its involvement in wars, apologized for our consumption of the worlds resources, Apologized for our treatment of 911 terrorists.

You shut the fuck up and get a clue for a change

Republicans believe in 1% of the country.

And I'm sorry, fiscal conservatism is a great idea but repubs don't seem to really be any better at that than dems. They want to take any expenditure cuts on things like medicare and put it towards lowering taxes on the top tax brackets and on military spending. Neither party is that great at managing the economy but only one party is being voted in by fundamentalists and is socially backward. Maybe if Ron Paul had been the nominee there could have been a debate, at least he actually represented fiscal conservatism and individual liberty and wasn't just another bought suit.

It's such a horrible thing for him to come out and say that he doesn't A. Support Toture or B. Support dehumanizing, inhumane acts that are either against international code in warfare or are detrimental to troop safety by provoking anger and hatred....

    Yep..The horror.

    Makes sense you're a Romeny supporter. icon_lol.gif

Another non-answer. Is this why you believe the bullshit Walker is selling?
