From my upcoming nature DVD, I present to you one of the many pieces. This one is called "Fungi" (which includes mushrooms too). I took all of these pictures on northern VA nature trails. Enjoy!

Thanks Lincs! My favorite is that tiny one at the end. It was there in the moss all by itself.

Betchas, this is awesome. You's better click the Like button, or whatever. I got down on my KNEES to get these shots.

Great video, I love seeing the beauty in the unusual.

Btw is there a general guide to tell whether a mushroom is edible or not? Or is it different for each species.

I found three large capped mushrooms growing out of the carpet behind my dresser. True story!

No I don't live in squalor or...the forest. I shampooed the carpet in my bedroom last month and moisture got trapped in the carpet under the heavy wooden dresser. One day I passed by it and caught a glimpse of the floor behind it and I was like what the fuck...these three big ass cartoon like mushrooms were growing right out of the carpet. It was pretty disgusting. I moved the dresser and the carpet was all wet under it.

I see mushrooms growing in my potted plant soil every now and then.

I bet there is. I don't think "food" when I see these, well, some do look like food though. Like cookies and cream, and lemon cake, and other delicious things. I bet they wouldn't taste like that. (keels over)

You're so awesome! You're the reason I've gotten into taking pictures of the scenery around me. More to come! =)
