The very first words in the lead investigator's report just released:

"The encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was ultimately avoidable by Zimmerman, if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle and awaited the arrival of law enforcement."

    http://openchannel.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/05/17/11748468-court-docs-trayvon-martin-shooting-ultimately-avoidable-by-zimmerman?lite

It's not self-defense if you instigated and could have avoided the incident.

    Case closed.

It would also have been ultimately avoidable if Zimmerman had been vacationing in the Bahamas.

    Case not closed.

Except he wasn't vacationing in the Bahamas. He was doing what the investigator said he was, which was instigating second-degree murder.

Try to stay on topic. Although I know that's difficult for right-wing Republicans who hate gays and think it's okay for unarmed teenagers to be shot dead in the streets.

LOL! That's akin to saying Travon Martin would still be alive had he not been roaming through a gated neighborhood at night where he didn't live.

    or how about...

Trayvon Martin would still be alive if he had been wearing a bullet-proof vest.

    or how about...

Trayvon Martin would still be alive if he would have run to where he was headed instead of possibly confronting Zimmerman

or how about...or how about...or how about...

We can come up with a hundred different scenarios that may have lead to a different outcome. However, the reality is the seemingly drug-induced teenager was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Case closed when the judge says it's closed.

Todd - I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on your first hypothesis which is on its face racist as Martin's father lived in the gated community, so he had every right to be there.

    The second is ludicrous.

And the third is antithetical to all who support "stand your ground" laws, which I believe you do.

So, short of some bombshell that emerges, Zimmerman remains guilty of second-degree murder by creating the circumstances in which Martin died.

Agreed. But we're gonna hafta deal with the posts of right-wing haters of minorities (aka Blacks) for months to come. Blacks are always worthy of being shot without reason, as these posts from Whites show.

The OP is desperately trying to rally RJ'ers into believing that Zimmerman is just another typical white/hispanic racist murderer. "Oh lawd, look RJ, errone is racist!!!!" The OP has some serious racial insecurities as based on his constant display of trying to label everyone a racist that doesn't support his of any black person's point of view. BUT before you go off on me....

....I DO believe Zimmerman was out to get someone that night, and should be charged with murder if the facts of the case thus far is true........

Now pull the race card in 3,2,.....

I'm sure you're including the report from Zimmerman's private doctor which has a snowball's chance in hell of being considered by a jury.

Regardless of what subsequently happened, Zimmerman intentionally refused to follow the instructions from the 9-1-1 official who told him to not pursue the suspect (Trayvon Martin). And, that is what led to the young man's tragic death.

Why? He's a race- ansd gun-obssessed right winger who thinks it's okay to shoot unarmed teenagers dead in the streets. It's sick and psychotic.

Liar, I have a history of calling bullshiters on their bullshit, and calling racists on their racism. Most people are not racist, in my experience and opinion. You just don't like it when those who are racist are called on it. You have a history of minimizing and rationalizing racism, the sign of a sick and angry mind. Probably because you are racist and angry as indicated by your lapse into sterotypical ebonics above. You have some serious cognitive issues since your cannot distinguish "a few racists" from "everyone." Everyone is not racist. Some people are. Only those who are full of crap cannot tell the difference.

That said, the fact of the matter is this entire episode could have been avoided if Zimmerman had not acted like a douchebag.

Minimization and rationalization coming in 3, 2...

WRONG! Zimmerman remains "accused" of second-degree murder. He can't "remain guilty" because he has not been tried and/or convicted of anything regarding this case.

So do you honestly believe that anyone who thinks Zimmerman was justified in what he did is racist?

    Todd -

I didn't say he was found guilty in court. I said he was guilty of the crime.

If I murdered you, I would be guilty of doing so regardless of whether or not I was ever caught, tried and convicted. icon_rolleyes.gif

Mentally disturbed people are walking about today, even able to use the internet. As long as they are not considered dangerous to themselves or others, they do not need to be institutionalized.

That has to be the dumbest, most idiotic response/evasion ploy I've seen you make.. and YOU are the pompous ass here that spouts.. "I dont respond to ridiculous inane posts that have no substance" well John, The kettle just painted your ass black as the ace of spades.

And you wonder why the only people here you talk to are your 4 other conservapossse friends.

Its because you are a hypocrite and constantly get caught at it. Yeah, I know you hate my posts, but guess what? Everyone who comes on here sees them.. and they see your hypocrisy illuminated as it should be!

    Reading comprehension 101 exercise:
Implicit in the expression "Based on the evidence made public" is an assumption that there may be additional evidence not made public. Also implicit is the possibility that such additional evidence could impact the observation in the same sentence.
