A May Day rally in Los Angeles, co-sponsored by the SEIU and various communist groups, as well as other unions, reflected yet another step in the normalization of self-identified communist and socialist ideologies in the Obama era. Not only did the SEIU help to organize the rally in conjunction with communists, they marched side-by-side with communists, while union members carried communist flags, communists carried union signs, and altogether there was no real way to tell the two apart.

The communists freely and proudly declare their affiliation. And the SEIU has no problem marching arm-in-arm with them.

"Smash Capitalism" is a slogan the SEIU apparently endorses - or at least doesn't mind marching behind. In case you think the SEIU is some peripheral out-of-the-mainstream organization:

The SEIU devoted $28 million to Obama's campaign, making the SEIU " the organization that spent the most to help Barack Obama get elected president."

Furthermore, who is Obama's favorite White House guest and one of his closest confidants? The individual who has visited the Obama White House the most: SEIU President Andy Stern, who has visited 53 times. Obama is closely linked with the SEIU. The SEIU is closely linked with communists. You do the math.

And it wasn't just the SEIU at the march - other "normal" unions like the AFL-CIO were on hand as well. There were plenty of teachers' unions attending too, and they brought along many of their public school students for some good old-fashioned communist indoctrination.

Guys, when you look at the people in the photos, realize these are the people we debate on Real Jock. Wonder why it is impossible to get through to them. Look at the photos again and you'll see.

Oh, grow up. Shall I descend to the level of this?

Here are the people WE debate on Real Jock.

    There, was that amusing?

You've already descended to a level of making up quotes of others. The difference between the photos I provided and yours, is the RJ left continually demonstrates an affinity to some of the groups shown, specifically the SEIU and other labor groups. As far as groups they have an affinity to, well maybe guilt by association.

And if it weren't for that pesky killing-Jews-thingie, your confreres would make perfect SS officers.

In associating the photos with RJ members, I neglected the honorable mention of one who is a self described Socialist, oops, I forgot, Democratic Socialist. The difference is instead of military troops seizing your property, it's done nicely via taxes so one generation cannot leave their fruits of success to the next one. All done in the interest of fairness, because not all are equally successful.

JPtheBITCH saidListen, John, I like you, honestly I do. But you're becoming a bully lately.
Calling your opponents communists isn't about having a dialogue or even a debate, it's about shutting people up. And it's nasty.

Jeff, thanks but you put words in my mouth that I did not say. The only label I used was "Democratic Socialist". I did not mention the member's name, but that is the label he uses to describe himself. He has corrected me when I called him a liberal. I did not call or suggest that RJ members were Communists. BTW - I make a distinction between Communists and Socialists, though in some cases the lines are somewhat blurred.

The linkage I made to RJ folks is the affinity to SEIU and other labor groups. That they associate with other organizations, such as the Communist Party, appears to be the case in the photos.

    John -

Don't be a pussy. If you're going to attempt to talk smack about me, at least sack up and do it by name. After all, I've never reported someone for TOS violation or namby pamby shit like that.

I'm also not ashamed or uncertain about my political beliefs. Nor do I subscribe to a political ideology that rationalizes the negative qualities of my personality as many of your brethren do. I'm also not allied with rampant racists and homophobes in an effort to keep just a few dollars from going to taxes. Nor am I committed to electing a candidate that I do not believe in purely due to my irrational hatred of the incumbent.

So, by all means, say my name. icon_cool.gif

I know full well you are not in the least bit hesitant to mention how you label yourself politically. I did not consider my discussion an attempt to "talk smack" about you using any other term than that you use yourself.

The reason I didn't mention your name, even though it was probably obvious to those who read your messages, is I don't like to directly mention someone if they are not already participating in the thread. In this case because it was obvious to some, I partially violated my rule.
