The ad will run in the battleground states of Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia and Iowa, according to media buying information cited in CNN and other news outlets. There is $1.2 million in broadcast time that's been purchased.

Romney told reporters Thursday that his TV campaign was about to begin, calling his first spot "a positive ad about the things that I will do if I am president."

Restore Our Future, a pro-Romney super PAC, started a $4.3 million ad campaign in nine battleground states earlier this month.
