And the Right Wingers here urge us to vote for these Republicans who want us dead. What does that tell us about them? Draw your own conclusions.

I'm amazed that so called "conservatives" could ever support a person who, in my mind, fails to follow the Constitution by ignoring seperation of church & state.

IMO Andy Gipson is an ass wipe. He won an elected position to represent 3 counties in an unopposed election. His name did not even appear on the bollot during primaries, which in itself, I find amazing.

He aviods directly making these "quotes" by referencing a passage(s) from the bible but, clearly seems to support its basic view.

I've not posted here long or much but have made it no secret I'm NOT a fan of either major party so I get a kick out of watching the blind supports attempting to justify the actions of those in "their" party, this one should be funny...if anyone even comes to Mr. Gipsons defense.

Anyone wanna bet he was picked on in his younger years for being gay?

This gay hating politician is obviously a liberal Obama-supporting Democrat. Democrats have done nothing for gays, after all, while Republicans adore them.

Yet another conservative Republican whose gay-panic arguments make no sense at all. What does getting married have to do with spreading diseases? If anything it seems like marriage would reduce promiscuity.
In my opinion, bigotry is all about losers trying to feel better about themselves. That's why it's so big in the American South, which is at the bottom rung in every ranking of successful states -- in regard to education, income, health, life expectancy, etc.
These unfortunate people pat themselves on the back and say to each other, "well, at least we're better than those filthy gays."
    Same old sad story.

Another day, another anti-gay Republican politician. This one is especially horrific, but who cares when we need to focus on the economy and not silly, unimportant things like elected officials wishing us death.

I don't know, from what I've seen being married really doesn't seem to have much effect on promiscuity in the straight couples I know.

I would argue he's not a real conservative at least in the sense of government staying out of the lives of the citizens. I would also argue he's a typical republican of the current generation.

I live in Mississippi and though I'm very happy in my little part of the state, this clown doesn't make me proud.

I can't believe his latest facebook post. He posts an email essentially saying you should apologize for condoning murdering homosexuals and he responds (word for word):

"I want the world to know that I do not, cannot, and will not apologize for the inspired truth of God's Word. It is one thing that will never "change."'

None of the spins or the "I don't want to kill you but you're a dirty abomination before the eyes of God and a risk to America." Instead he just goes straight for "God wants you dead!"

yet you keep overlooking your many, many, many years of homophobia; shit most of your long life. As well the abuse of homosexuals you ignored, and stood by and said nothing.icon_rolleyes.gif Yet you also feed many of their fires by promoting homosexuality is a choice, as one day you just become one and were not born one; but that would also mean dealing with a long list of people you have used and hurt too.

PS.icon_idea.gif many left wing here at RJ, go to church tooicon_idea.gif

He's disgusting, I'm not going to lie I put the petition link and his FB link in a lot of different places for people to see. I emailed him too, at the end I told him to stop having children and to stop having sex with his cousin lol. icon_lol.gif

To be exact, this is what I sent him. icon_lol.gif

Although I am not surprised by your comments based on your surroundings (Mississippi), I am offended that you proclaim to love God. You try to speak for him and pass judgement as if you were him, you my friend will reap what you sew. I hate to tell you this but society has moved up quite a bit and thanks to education (thank you Democrats), things are no longer seen through dirty glass. I hope you can be forgiven for the hate that you try to spread among the world because in the end it will backfire like a loaded pistol.

P.S. Take a stroll through the Bible and read Leviticus 19:18 and while you're at it take a peek at Luke 6:37. God bless you and I hope you don't have to face the Devil because as of now...it's not looking so good for you. ;)

Oh I forgot to tell you, stop having children and stop sleeping with your cousin. Although I've heard "kissin' cousins make dozens"! ;)

The Teabaggers like to quote this country's Founders, things like "Don't Tread on Me" and "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death".

But the truth is, elected Republican officials like Gipson want to tread all over gays, and give us death without the liberty. Can I hear again why the conservaposse here supports the GOP? Because it'll mean more money for the 1% which they selfishly hope they will one day become themselves, or whom they seek to serve as dutiful subordinates?

Not at my expense, thank you. Equal rights also means equal opportunities, not all the wealth hoarded by 1%, not the rules skewed to create a perpetual underclass in this land where once opportunity beckoned to all.

Sometimes it's not worth your energy, although I was seeing this thing about statistics over the past 50 years concerning Presidents and overall economy. Although Republicans had 28 years in Office and Democrats 22, Democrats were MUCH MUCH more successful in virtually every aspect. Whether it be job's being produced, debt, to stock markets. You'd think people would learn but it's not their fault they're idiots. icon_biggrin.gif

I did not see your thread metta on the same subject. Sorry for the repost.

Yeah I wonder too how the conservapossie is going to explain this one as well. Because we all know how much the republicans love us gays and fight for our rights and how much the democrats just use us for our vote. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm sure one or two will show up to tell us how much they are against remarks like these, but for now they are busy e-mailing Andy Gipson with praise and their support.

You see, the Conservative Coalition here believes everything that comes out of the mouths of people just like them and they are just being storefront gays.

This is the same state that had a representative that wanted to re-name the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America. Not surprising at all. I hope he endorses Mit Romney. Only will help Obama.

I see one has arrived from the Mitt Romney rally. Did you make your beloved candidate promise to put us to death and deport those that are non-white or might speak a different language??

A shocking example of prejudice from within the Republican party, and what might come to pass if they ever gained further power in the US.

There was a case in the UK recently of someone charged and convicted of advocating the same!

    Crackpot says Crackpot things...

This article at Cracked is becoming truer and truer the more threads I see around here where "Random Nobody Says Shocking Thing!"

CrackedFor instance, in the headline earlier about the CSotW comparing rape to a flat tire, the crazy shithead was a member of the Kansas state legislature -- one of 165 members of the body that makes laws in Kansas. This guy is so hugely important that it took a whopping five thousand votes to elect him. You could fit every one of his supporters in a high school gym. Which is to say, he has just slightly more power to enact law than you do. And none outside of Kansas.

See, headlines tend to use that word "lawmaker" for a reason -- if he were a U.S. senator, by God it would say "U.S. Senator," and if he were a member of Congress, it'd say he was a congressman. They use "lawmaker" because it makes him seem prominent, like he should somehow matter to people who don't live in Kansas. Now, don't get me wrong -- if the Kansas legislature collectively passes some atrocious rape law, that's news -- a lot of people are affected. But the fact that their legislature is 1/165 crazy shithead is not news.
