Cheat days

    So how often do you guys give yourselves cheat days and how far do you allow yourselves to go ?

    I try to follow a healthy diet but I would generally take one day off every week , where I just choose not to worry as much about the nutritional value of every thing I put in my mouth.

    It's not like it's one day of binge eating , but sometimes I have to say it's very easy to get carried away.

    One day a week, though the day varies. Tonight I'm having pizza for dinner because I don't wanna cook. But I'm having vegetarian pizza, so it's kinda good?

    I try not to have the mentality of "I have a cheat day so I can go binge on crap." Rather, I like to know it's in the bank if I want to use it. I've just gotten home from hockey, I'm sore, tired, it's cold, so I'm gonna have pizza and not worry about it icon_biggrin.gif

    Once a week, but I barely cheat when I do. Maybe a single serving bag of Doritos or a chocolate bar. I couldn't go and consume half a meat and cheese lover's pizza and not feel like I've fallen completely off the wagon.

    Every day for breakky!... my diet plan is: eat what you want for breakfast, then you wont eat that much on the day, and so burn fat... It works for me.

    However If I want to burn fat quickly , and get back into best shape, I never , NEVER cheat... could last a month or two.... That way I dont feel guilty!icon_biggrin.gif

    I need to limit it to one day a week or two meals spread out over the week. Any more than that and I turn into the Pillsbury Dough Boy! icon_lol.gif

    Once or twice a month. But "cheating" to me is to make something I really enjoy- and it usually involves extra carbs. Tonight is one such day: I'm making shrimp scampi. And I may even have a glass of wine with it.

    I can cheat once and a while with no consequences except that I feel guilty afterwards. It works best not to have anything unhealthFUL in the house, but there are temptations in the supermarket.

    i eat healthy snacks and minimeals and cheat every lunch and dinner... which means i dont really diet properly at all. cheating is the best

    Lately, every day seems like a cheat day for me but, when I have more impulse control, it would be once a week. It's typically a Friday or Saturday, since that's when I go out with friends...and it usually means having a couple beers.

    Usually once a week, and only for one meal, and only in moderation. Right now, we're hard cutting, and all I want is a FUCKING BASKET OF FUCKING TATER FUCKING TOTS. #hungry

    I have a coworker who frustrates the hell out of me when we talk about eating and food choices. She thinks that because I don't have a gut, that I must be able to eat anything I want and stay "thin." I always have to remind her that while I can eat anything I want, I don't eat everything I want, which is why I'm in shape and she's not.

    I don't really get the idea of cheat days. I choose to eat the way I do because I prefer to eat healthy, natural foods. Candy, pizza, potato chips and other junk food doesn't look as good as fresh fruit, nuts or a good steak.

    Seems to me that if you decide eating healthy is what you want to do, as long as you keep your goals and health in front of you, you'll choose to eat well. It's a question of priorities.

    I'm going on a trip and am contemplating giving myself a cheat WEEK. But I'm just finally starting to see definition in my abs again, so I don't know.....maybe I'll give myself a cheat meal each day.
