There is a lot of homoerotic behaviour going on in Arab countries despite the general homophobic mindset there.

I remember when I was younger and I visited Tunisia for the first time. I was so shocked to see men holding hands in the street, being touchy feely with one another and kissing each other (on the cheek, no tongues lol). So the article comes as no surprise to me.

Yup, the Lebanese are gorgeous people, some of the best looking in the world for sure.

Men of great masculinity and charm in my experience. Tall (for the most part) well built, and in the top five nations for looks, no doubt; all with a sexy French inflection.

More to the point, there seems to be a tacit acceptance of gay life. Once you've married and produce a kid or two - lol - you can do more or less what you want with whosoever you want.

This is well-short of acceptance, of course, but it's probably what my own mother wanted :-)

An Arab friend of mine maintains that gay partnership is, in fact, the ideal relationship for mothers of gay men. There will always be war with their daughters-in-law because the mother makes it clear that the son will never love any woman as much as his mother. Well, if he has a husband the problem is solved!
