I expect nothing less than the usual every year: Anglovision, cheesy acts with silly costumes, Slavic singers with terrible accents in English, no one voting for the UK, and plenty of homos icon_cool.gif

And surely whoever wins will be completely forgotten about after a few days.

Its becoming increasingly popular here (even though we can't enter). I must admit I'm a bit of a fan. There has been talk of a similar contest for the Asia-Pacific but nothing has ever been confirmed.

Why? Then it would just be Anglovision Asia/Pacific. Does the world really need more song contests just in English?

Just watch American Idol, The Voice, or The X-Factor if you love Anglo singing contests, lol.

They can sing in their national language of course.
    Why would it be anglovision?

At the rate the Eurovision is moving east every year, that could happen soon.

Because hardly anyone in Europe even sings in their national language. Almost 90% of the acts in Eurovision are in English.

But this is Asia we are talking about. Where national language pop songs are very much appreciated. I doubt speaking in English will give the Austrians and Kiwis an advantage.

A lot of J-pop and K-pop singers put out stuff in English (though they seldom succeed in North America lol). People always want to market to the Anglophone world because of the damn British legacy on the world, lol.

The UK's entry was just so shit. Totally inappropriate for Eurovision so I'm not surprised we came 2nd to last.

These fierce grannies from Russia should have won ! icon_cool.gif
