Hey guys! So I wanted to get new swimtrunks/boardshorts whatever you call them and was wondering where you all get your swimwear? also what you usually wear when you swim.

And if anyone knew where to get Superman board shorts? cause I've been wanting some cool ones for ages....and I'm a huge Superman fan.

You can buy these bad boys on ebay for $10!
    $(KGrHqMOKp!E4jek8c44BOKm8nFOFQ~~0_35.JP

    These ones too:
    !BzY-L+gEGk~$(KGrHqEOKicE)Q+tYv5eBMV0KpD

Except it doesn't seem like the latter comes in anything but kid sizes. The last pair of swim shorts I bought was at H&M. They are stylish and inexpensive, and show off just the right amount of leg to feel like you're actually wearing a swimsuit but not enough to offend the uptight American cultural standard for swimwear.

haha yeah I've tried searching for superman board shorts, but can never find any except for children. When I was seventeen I had a pair, I miss those ones they were cool, at the time they sold them for adults I think because a Superman movie came out not sure really.

Right now I have volcolm ones, which I like, but I wanna see if I can find different ones, also something to wear under them since I like to keep my junk in place instead of wearing boxer briefs. Which I was also waitng to see if Nastypig got any trunk-type? on their site, since I've seen they had some before. So I can get those and wear those under my board shorts. yeah!

I've been thinking of getting a pair of those, and decommissioning my nautica boardshorts.

Are there any recommendations for slimmer fitting board shorts? I feel like my legs swim (haha) in the board shorts I have. I don't like it when shorts balloon out .. maybe I just need to work on my legs more.

I'm a college diver and I get my speedos from internationaljock.com or swimoutlet.com ---most everything is competition size, but I've run across some nice board shorts too. And if you're just looking for sexy stuff it's a good place to go.

My last pair was all white with the king of hearts symbol stamped on it

Ain't that the truth. Most of these kids today dress like boring, conservative prudes when they go either to the pool or the beach.

I saw something this afternoon at the pool that I've only seen in pictures before

    birkini-vi2.gif

Some poor kid trying to swim laps in that stupid fucking thing. She had trouble getting her arms above water. I tried not to stare but I couldn't help but to look a few times on my way to do my laps. I haven't seen anyone in the water fully clothed since junior life saving courses or some party gone wild. I felt so bad for the kid. Couldn't say anything though, of course.

So I just went about swimming laps and then about half way through I noticed the kid had taken off so I chatted a bit with the lifeguard. Seems there's a few families in town who swim like that. A couple of mothers, a few girls and there's one boy who wears a loose fitting shirt. I said kidding around that they probably don't race. The lifeguard said that one actually is on the swim team and she taught her to swim from a very early age, now at level 3 I think she said so team eligible. So I said, well, I bet she doesn't win. Lifeguard laughed.

It's really horrible to see. I get that in their religion they think they are respecting the woman's body but you can't look at a kid trying to swim laps in a full burqa without knowing that's not respect, that's repression.

Here is a good suit. I like the style. Looks like he's spilled a little something on the front though. Not a problem. I'm sure it will cum out.

I too get my stuff from Swimoutlet, there's a vast amount of suits there that you can get, depending on the water type you intend to use it, and the occasion. Honestly, on there, you can find anything from practical to slutty sexy!

I usually confine my actual swimming to places where I don't need to wear any swim suit at all. For sitting under an umbrella on a public non-nude beach I wear board shorts, not too long. With cargo pockets for my car keys and other junk, since I don't plan to get wet, but still want to be comfortable and look the part.

Bought inexpensively at any department store, label isn't important. I think my last pair was from Dillard's. I don't know what part of California you live, but in much of the US the swim suit season is ending, and they'll be harder to find in the Winter, with clearance sale racks appearing any week now. Here in South Florida they're sold year-round, and we have beach wear shops everywhere.

I've never seen Superman shorts except for kids. Key West shops are known for tourist novelties, I can look my next time there.

Out of curiosity I searched my browser for "Superman board shorts" and got some hits in adult sizes.

Here's another that's longer, but is currently out of stock, suggesting it will return:

I'm getting ready for vacation and wondered what style is appropriate for a man almost 60. I had over a dozen knee length board shorts - but I've really grown tired of them. I doubt I'll be in bikini shape (nor age) in time. What's a good cut for an overweight guy speeding past his 50s? Links are appreciated too!
    Thanks Guys!

I would say stay clear of the swimbriefs, old decrepit men that wear them under their bellies have kinda left a bad stigma and an air of creepiness.

If you are over 6 foot you can do knee length boardies as you are tall enough, and it would suit your bigger build (with my slim build i look like im drowning in boardies).

If you have nice legs or want more leg to tan, or you are under 6 foot tall, wear swimshorts, there are ones that look like short boardies or even the very classy "yacht short" look for swimming.

Ripcurl has some good quality boardies: http://www.ripcurl.com/us/

For some real classic high luxury swim apparel (at a price) try Charlie by Mathew Zinc :

^ I think those are super super expensive. I personally love the briefs, it's comfortable to swim in, it doesn't drag on anything, and it's small and compact. The square trunks too, those are really nice. It's strange, I guess I don't go to the beach often, but I don't remember seeing too many old men in the briefs.

In my opinion, board shorts are the ugliest and most awful thing to wear while swimming! Who was the dumbass that invented them??!! I practically sink while trying to swim! It feels like I'm wearing paints! At least get swimwear that is above the knee! Go to amazon, they have a good selection of swimwear. As for me, it's a speedo or traditional trunks above the knee! Again, easier to swim in and less tan lines!
