I don't usually like wearing sunglasses when playing but a couple of people swear by their glasses. Most have special lenses designed to make the ball stand out better. Any thoughts guys? You wear glasses and if so which brand do you prefer?

    Thanks.

I used to just wear my Oakleys playing tennis. I did have one pair with a rose-tinted lens that did help accentuate the ball a bit. I believe Bolle still makes a few pairs of glasses specifically for tennis.

I have a pair of HEAD sunglasses that I wear only to play tennis. They come with blue and copper lenses, but the blue lenses are specifically designed to help make the ball stand out more.

I don't know if they really do, but I do love the glasses because they reduce glare without being too dark. Regular sunglasses are tough to wear playing tennis, especially if it's a cloud/sun mix.

The strongest player at our club wears Bolle sunglasses.

He let me try them last weekend. Bolle has claimed for years that their sunglasses make tennis balls more visible.

I use L L Bean sport sunglasses with polarized lenses to cut down on glare and for eye protection, especially when playing doubles.

Like most L L Bean products, they're well made, and they've available for about $50.
