I need to get tested across the board. I have never really been sexually active so im not worried about having anything but i still want to get tested to have the proof of being clean.

Where should i go and how much dose it cost?

Im uninsured at the moment so thats why i am asking?

Call the Cobb County Health Department...they should be able to provide testing at reduced or no cost.

Good luck !

Your local physician should be able to administer the test's. Not sure about the price but insurance should cover some.

Depending on where you live there might be clinics that offer some STD testing for free. I think these are usually done at like a county or state clinics. Go to your county website to see if you can get some information on STD testing. If you cant find anything on the website, contact a clinic. If the clinic doesnt offer free STD testing, they probably can refer you to a place that does.

gotta love the google.

Hopefully someone from your area will chime and recommend a place.

I get tested at my physician's office...the first time I got one was pretty interesting. Obviously get the random tests...but when my parents got the itemized listing of what the insurance company paid for...they listed EVERY test individually...by disease name. My dad was like what the hell is all this? Lol. I told him I took an STD test and he was like oh shit...I thought I was going to have to bleach every surface in the house. Lol!

My doc ran my tests this year, but in the past I've gone to AID Atlanta (aidatlanta.org). They do a full screening for non-HIV detections as well as their standard HIV test.

check out your local health departments website. they'll have locations and hours. because of budgets, some places only offer std clinics on certain days and times. some might ask for like 20 bucks or something but most are free and state funded. they'll test for the general stuff and hiv as well.

FYI we now refer to them as an STI (sexually-transmitted infection) not an STD.

THANK YOU!!

I have been telling ppl that forever, though i doubt the vast majority of people will change the way they say it.

For those who don't know why its STI now, its because some are curable and not permanent. While a disease is a chronic illness, its now referred as infection because some are curable.
