Hanlan's Point at the Toronto islands is clothing optional. Never been but have friends who go and say it's quite nice.

For me it ain't a real beach unless the water is crystal clear and palm trees on the beach.

yes there are!! take the ferry boat to the Toronto island, google Hanlan's point, its not only nude, but its also the unofficial gay point of the beach. It's a lot of fun, you take the subway to union station, then take the streetcar to queen quay and then ferry to hanlan. I used to do this every day after work, have fun.

Laugh! Glad to hear things changed since I lived there. I remember being knocked by the boom off a sailboat and into the harbour and was briefly tangled in a line. My first thought wasn't drowning (even though I'm a crappy swimmer); it was that I would probably get cancer from accidentally drinking the water pouring into the Lake from the Don River!

lol, to be sure, some areas of the shoreline present a problem due to overflow, but the island has natural protection being on the other side of the mainland. the city is even considering placing some artifical islands near the mouth of the humber, what with all the possible fill created by the underground eglinton lrt construction.

Check out Harlan's on a Sunday, that's the busiest day there and a big party feel to it . When the weather is amazing the ferry line up to get to the islands will give you a heart attack so brace yourself icon_razz.gif
