Ok, I have a friend that uses this to pick his guys out. This to me is a form of labeling and can be very biased because each person is more then a sign. So is this a normal thing that I have missed in the gay world or str8 world.

I base my initial attraction to a guy on what he looks like shirtless. Personality sets the hook. The Zodiac is nothing but a fun conversation piece once he's met the other two qualifications.

Because they're too busy wishing upon stars and promising each other the moon.

Sacrifice : cuz there are many things that dont match in the partners like he doesnt like sugar so u prepare a no sugar thing for him
u dont like filth so he better clean up the mess in the home

thats so romantic & cool rather than waiting for the stars to position !

Such people so "not my type" at any extremes
i cant wait for my partenr to kiss me when the stars are aligned in proper postions & when to talk when the moon is normal

    Thats so icon_mad.gif

    He: What sign are you?
Me: Did you know that Taurus is a sign which is good in bed with all other signs? Bulls are know for good sex. Look at all the cows that exist!
    He: Hmmm. Let's fuck.
Me: Cool. Let's go behind that dumpster over by the church.

I think that horoscopes and zodiac signs are interesting, especially when you compare the personality traits to the person after you know them. It's weird how they can really match the person sometimes. I'm a definition Aries lol but I don't use them as a deal breaker when I'm interested in someone.

You shouldn't limit yourself to a guy just because of his zodiac sign. I mean, there are plenty of hot guys in every signs. I sorta tend to like Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius and Aquarius signs based on my past. It's weird I have like 3 gay/straight best friends who are Gemini. But As a libra air sign myself, I do find some truth about zodiac signs. Cancer and Scorpio guys are usually moody, emotional and somewhat mysterious and my astrology say to stay away from those. But I meant, I think it's fun to read and all but I wouldn't rule out a man just because of his sign, that's silly.

I went on a date once with a guy that did that. Date actually went well, had a lot on common, clicked pretty well. He said he'd have to compare our charts after the date. I did hear from him within a couple days, and said we could be friends but nothing more because my chart didn't align right with his, lol.

I find horoscopes interesting, but I don't make decisions based on it.

I do find it funny that 4 of 6 bf's of mine were Sag.

I have never met anyone, irl, that actually gave a dang about the zodiac, at least not as an adult. RealJock is the first place I've 'seen' any people that seem to think zodiac signs have any real validity.
People's superstitions scare me sometimes. icon_eek.gif

[Note: Annual-period zodiacs (e.g. western, but not eastern) may have some incidental validity. In particular gestation during different months of the year does affect prenatal environment and can have statistical effects on presentation of schizotypical personality disorders for example, presumably due to different chance of the mother being exposed to viral infection during pregnancy. Even statistically legitimate effects like that one however will be incredibly broad making the predictive value worth very little on the individual level (and vary as a function of location as well as time in particular)]

Never, might as well base it on something equally as stupid, like the color of his shoelaces.

I see nothing wrong with utilizing astrology for this purpose, but astrology is much more complex than simply figuring out someone's Sun sign and comparing it to yours. There are several other important factors that must be considered, and you will need an accurate birth date, time, and location. If you can get all this from a guy without him thinking you're weird, then by all means, go for it. icon_cool.gif

If he was a giant, turned-on ape, then yes, totally.

    In all other cases, never.

    Ever.

    [pats head condescendingly]
    That's sweet.

(In all seriousness, hey, life is weird, no harm in looking into things, but if you're taking it seriously after having looked into it, then you probably haven't looked broadly enough. For any set of beliefs there's a group that will shovel you 'evidence', but that ain't enough.
Eh, hopefully it's just a phase.)

After all, right or wrong, it's good to expose ourselves to alternative views, no? (I know I read about astrology and all sorts of such things when I was young and feel I'm the better for it.)

Neo, there's no need to "enlighten" me. I have an open mind; therefore, I can study or research a matter without accepting it or believing it. Believe me, you don't want to spark a debate with me on this, so I'll politely slip your book reference in the trash on my way out. icon_twisted.gif
