What TV shows that only lasted for a season or 2 do you like and wish it lasted longer than it did?

Get A Life lasted only two seasons on Fox. One of the stupidest shows ever and that is what made it so funny.

    Firefly!

The cast was a great group of actors and the show was phenomenal.

Well, of course Star Trek was canceled way too soon.
    Firefly
There was a Mel Brooks / Robin Hood series in the early 70's called "When Things Were Rotten" that seemed hilarious at the time. It was cancelled after just a few episodes. Some of the gags were later recycled as "Men In Tights."

Me too. This was an interesting one. Most of the actors found would in subsequent series.

But it didn't survive the San Francisco curse for shoot locations.

They never survive, like Johnny Lee Miller's attorney show, the medic show featuring Rabbit, I forgot its name.

Even that mediator show on cable, pretents to be situated in SF, but of course, is shot in Vancouver.

You picked another one that was sweet and discovered the new "big girl", Melissa McCarthy.

    Witchblade.

Kick-ass leading lady, labyrinthine storytelling, babe-like male supporting cast, endless mystery.

Basically, about six years ahead of its time.

Yet another one that had a very interesting story line but lasted only one season, Sunday nights on the WB.

    The Naked Gun!

I also vaguely remember one in the early 80s called No Soap, Radio... It was kind of a ridiculous sketch show and had Steve Guttenberg in it, pre-Police Academy. imdb says it lasted 5 episodes. It had the kind of humour that could only be compared to something British like Monty Python or Green Room, or maybe one of Chris Lilley's shows from Australia.

And speaking of the early 80s, I would have been happy to see Soap go on for a few more years!

    Wonderfalls!

It only lasted 4 episodes, but it felt like the most "me" show I've ever seen. Due to popular demand, the rest of the episodes were made and sold on DVD.

    Also, Carnivale, Dead Like Me.

Family Guy, Futurama were cancelled and brought back because they were too young to die. Arrested Development too!

"Ed" -- actually it was on four years, but barely made it each year. Wish it lasted longer.

"Eerie Indiana" -- on just a few months. Funny and clever.

    "Freaky Links" -- ditto.
