In the end is there really any difference between Obama's and Romney's stands on the Military, the Pentagon spending and Foreign Policy ?

Remember all the statements from Obama against the Bush policies on the topic subjects, then compare it with Obama's actual actions that actually took matters further than even Bush did. An example would be 'indefinate detention that Obama actually asked for, another would be his use of drones.

Will it be any different if Romney wins ?

Its seems to me that the Policies toward the Military, the Pentagon spending and Foreign Policy continue no matter which side is in power. What's that old saying, "the more things change, the more they remain the same" ?

You are of course right. The only candidate to oppose the radical militarism, imperialism, constant wars, destrucion of civil liberties, abrogation of power to declare war etc. is Ron Paul. All others essenatially advocate and will surely continue the current policy.

Incidentally, same is true on the domestic front: bailouts, big business favouritism, sitting in the pocket of Wall Street, why, even the health care mandate - Obama and Romney hold essentially identical positions, all the rhetoric to the contrary notwithstanding.

What is shocking is that so few realise those facts. Clealry they are being misled by the propaganda coming from both camps and from the mainstream media...

I only wish I could say it as well as you did above !!!

Our US Public is so 'comfortable' that they pay very little attention to the real and most costly issues due to the mesmerizing and satisfaction with the status quo brought to us and continued by the propaganda you mention. Look where this has taken us in loss of privacy and rights etc just in the last ten years. In the 60's we'd have been in the streets protesting such things as 'indefinate detention' and etc. Where are we now? on our couches watching trivia !!
