Yes! I'm on my way with my BF in tow. It will be my first Gay Day in Orlando, and his first-ever BGE (Big Gay Event)

The Religious Right wants to remind everyone that Gay Days at Disney World is this week

Ha! love it. All grades of fail. I see they will have the planes flying overhead with the banners giving the event all kinds of free publicity like they did last year - which I think is some of the best free advertising the Gay Days organizers could ask for!

Just had a totally unrelated yet potentially fun/weird/shocking moment here at work. One of my co-worker's parents just flew in from the UK, and are SO excited to be going to Disney this weekend. I just didn't have the heart to tell them that going there this Saturday 'might' be a little different experience than they anticipated....

    Agreed! Eloquently too!

Just a little further down is this gem of engaging banter:

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.

Disney doesn't recognize it as "official". That's why most Americans probably don't know about it. I had to warn my very conservative and religious friend's family about not coming until it's over. They didn't have any idea about it either.

Trust me, Mark, my x and close friend and his team are hard at work getting ready for you all to visit. It should be a fun weekend, but they will never be a fun as they were in the 2001-2004. So many fun memories!

We survived! Ha! Truly, my BF and I had a wonderful time for Gay Days, we arrived on Saturday afternoon, went to that evening's pool parties at the host hotel, and did Epcot on Sunday. While we didn't stay for the T Dance at Disney or make it to the finale party at Doubletree, (getting used to FL sunshine/heat was a little rough on us high country Coloradans! - we were exhausted) we had a super time regardless. Many thanks Drew to your ex and close friend, whatever their responsibilities were for GayDays celebration, they did well. the whole thing was really quite professional, and the crowds at the parties and at Epcot on Sunday were impressive. Didn't know about the "red shirt' code though!
