Ultimate fighting

My other thread had the word "porn" in the title, so it didn't come up on the homepage--who knew?

So, I thought I'd continue it here, because I think it's an interesting topic that everyone should know about!

I watch a lot of ultimate fighting. It is really difficult to tell it from gay porn. When the guy is on top of the other guy, and his legs are around the top guy's neck, and he's pushing him across the floor--I mean, (fanning myself with my hand), I just get the vapors!

When straight guys watch ultimate fighting, do they not see it? Are they simply unaware of the pure, raw sexuality? Don't they, somewhere in the back of their mind, think that it would be fun to try those positions with their pants off?!? I mean, how is my appreciation of the sport more gay than their appreciation of the sport?

Do straight guys think that gay sex is different from ultimate fighting? What do they think we do? Do you think that more straight guys would give gay sex a try if they realized it was just like ultimate fighting, but with an orgasm? Or two?

Straight men talk about the "ick" factor when it comes to gay sex. Here's my new answer: "Gay sex is just like ultimate fighting except you get to take your clothes off and have an orgasm."

Frankly, I think guys would rather have ultimate fighting sex with another guy than all that romantic stuff they have to go through with women. I think if men saw gay sex as a sport with orgasms, they'd stop condemning it and start training for it.

OK, this one doesn't come up on the homepage either. Does anyone know what's going on?

I've watched UFC fights a number of times over the past winter. Absolutely mesmerizing! I'm half waiting for an accidental blast of sperm to erupt from someone's shorts what with all that grunting and groping...

It's a tad rough for me, and I don't like watching violence, so I've been really impressed that these fighters are often good sports with one another after a fight. It's really arousing to see the winner give the loser a big sweaty hug - some hugs are long enough to elicit unease with the srt8 jock commentators - they laugh nervously and crack remarks - but I bet there's genuine affection and respect going around the UFC circuit even if it's not acknowledged.

    Hm! Intense!

I am wondering if there are UFC fighters who like dick? (Fighting as foreplay? Who knows?) At least I sense there are more and more guys who are less homophobic, so who knows what's going on behind the scenes there?

On a related note: didn't the WWF fighter Steve Canyon out himself?

    The vapors, to be sure!

About six weeks ago on ESPN I saw one of these bouts where one of the fighters who was just about lose by a few points. Right after finally getting on top >>he gave his opponent 3 or 4 dry humps!!!<< I don't think he had a hard on, but OMG. The ref broke it up, the crowd reacted but didn't riot, the commentators guffawed with half-indignant (yeah, only half) lines like "I think he just disrespected him." Weird thing was that the hubbub died down w/in 5 minutes or so with no further questions or ta-doo about it.

Weird. All the more reason to watch, tho.

BTW, love that description of gay sex as "ultimate fighting with an orgasm."

My only issue is that by aligning "gay sex" with ultimate fighting, are you also encouraging straight guys to beat each other bloody in the process?

I am yet to see a UFC contest where no blood is shed, and I would think it could draw parallels to gay bashing if you are to align the two.

Kris Kanyon is the WWE performer who came out a couple of years back, and there are certainly more gay men in pro-wrestling.

I think there is definately a connection between gay bashing and gay sex. The bashing comes from guys who are afraid of how turned on they are.

I think the difference is ultimate fighting is a sport and gay sex is....well....um sex. I think ultimate fighting is the most pure competitve way 2 men can compete. I am not gay, so the arousal factor for me(yes it happens with str8 guys too) comes from the high level of testosterone and raw, alomst primal way they compete to dominate each other. I have been to fighting parties where guys get hard watching this stuff and even wrestle, but its not because they want to have sex with each other. It is just a way to get out agression, stress and tension.

I'm sure it depends on the guy in question. One of my friends does ultimate fighting, and I know him well enough to know he's definitely straight. He's not homophobic at all, either, so it's not like he's repressed. He just enjoys the competition, and the practice of challenging himself... I don't think he would consider gay sex as challenging (at least not the average sexual encounter).

I pretty much feel the same way when I'm wrestling, I don't really think of it sexually, but more just as physical competition, unless it's part of some explicit erotic activity. Just like ultimate fighting, it can be done in a sexual or nonsexual way. So I'm sure for some people, ultimate fighting is more of a sexual activity than others.

I agree with Jock_1 (above). I watch IFL and it is arousing to see two guys beating the shit out of each other (animalistic / domination).

I am gay, and seeing two guys have a real fight (unlike TV wrestling) is a turn-on (not just sexual). It gets your testosterone up...it's exciting!

It would be interesting to ask straight fighters if they get a woody sometimes when watching other men fight...I bet that many do at times, and in a non-sexual way.

I agree with jock_1. I train/practice wrestling, boxing, and do mma (ultimate fighting) in a club myself. Before i fight I do normally get wood. I am also usually nervous, million thoughts going through my head, pent up aggression, and can feel the adrenaline and testosterone coarsing through my veins. Once I do start fighting the boner goes away. I really don't have any sexual thoughts before or during a fight, its the last thing you wanna think about in my opinion when fighting another guy. I sometimes get a boner watching other guys fight, and again i agree its adrenaline and testosterone stemming from wanting to fight.

However, I can also agree with the others that this could be done in a sexual manner, i know because i've done it too with guys in private.

So in conclusion what i'm saying is that the guys you see on tv competing in this sport are doing it for sport, and almost (I say almost because there probably are a select few) none of them are thinking about sex while fighting, or are participating in the sport to get on a guy.

    That's my 2 cents
