    I am so sick of all the dumbasses claiming that Whitney or Aaliyah were some godesses who while undermining the real talent Amy Winehouse! She is so much more talented then all the other women I mentioned combined and I know some fools think otherwise- which imo is comical.

    I agree that Amy was extremely talented, but she only released 2 albums during her lifetime which is probably why she didn't leave a bigger legacy behind her when she passed. Had she released more material, I'm sure she would've been considered to be even greater than she is now.

    But I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the Whitney part.

    Whitney=Amy Winehouse= Aaliyah

    they all are equally talented, they all touched my heart and soul at some point in my life, and they all are worthy of my respect to them and not calling them shit because I disagree with their sound.(that was more of an attack to the silly ranting queens).

    Each of them possess their own sound quality that is incomparable to each others. You really can't say that 1 singer is the best of all time, when there can be someone who who has a slight different appeal and sound that affects you with their voice.

    OP, why beat around the bush? We're grown men; we can take the more direct approach, so go ahead and change the thread's title to "I hate black people."

    Perhaps you overlooked the fact that Ms. Winehouse was heavily influenced by black performers and genres: soul, rhythm and blues, jazz and hip hop. I'm sure Amy would spit in your face and wouldn't want you as a fan if she were alive.

    It's all subjective which is what makes it so interesting. Amy has a brilliant voice which a huge amount of character, Whitney has so much soul and power behind hers.In terms of songs, Amy's are amazing. They're all very auto-biographical and really compliment her very unique style, which has become rather iconic over here, especially in areas like Camden.

    I suppose I connect more with Amy because I experienced her at her best where as with Whitney I wasn't really around to experience it. While I can appreciate both, Amy is the one I'd prefer to listen to. There was also the progression in her music, with her darker life events really reflected in Back to Black.

    So for me, Amy Winehouse > Whitney Houston.

    Um hell no, why would I hate black people when I am black myself. And yes I feel Amy is way better and I love her song Valarie.

    Amy was a great talent that being said Whitney had the body of work in her musical catalog that legends have. Aaliyah went way to young from accidental circumstances and Amy was the downward train that we all knew was going to hit at some point. Whitney was on a train to destruction but she was a legend before that time. It's unfair to separate all 3 but i think Whitney had the voice and legend status before her death. As for left eye, TLC and that's her legacy.
