Sounds like lunacy. "Free speech" should not include the right to make false product claims that can harm people. What space cadet Paul calls "abuses" are actually protections the American people rely upon to know their food and pharmaceuticals are safe to use.
This article appears on a site that opposes vaccinations and most modern medicine in favor of unregulated home remedies. If you wanna drink raw, unpasteurized milk sold directly from farmers (Paul is quite obsessed with making that happen), prevent your kids from getting vacinnated, and reject modern medical science, fine, then go do it on a commune where you can only hurt yourselves. But please don't force those screwball ideas on the rest of us, with the help of the equally screwy Rand Paul.
