    No, it isn't.

    However this is:

Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy."

Sodom wasn't about homosexuality and the practicing of it (although I never had to practice to be a homosexual; it came rather naturally, and so did I, lol),

Sodomy per Ezekiel is really all about, "I got mine, fuck you."

Which makes the GOP the party for committed sodomites.

No, it´s not a "sin". The concept of sin makes no sense.

    Now that's a rather interesting observation. icon_wink.gif

btw, if marriage for gay people comes about for everyone, then everyone straight gay Bi etc that engages in singles' sex and relationships are committing the same supposed sin, which is sex outside of wedlock, and you don't see religions OCD-ing over straights having sex out of wedlock do you? Just gay people sex. icon_wink.gif

Pfft. My Ezekiel precedes and so trumps your Romans. Romans is from Paul, who wanted every christian to be celibate. He thought sex in marriage the lesser sin than sex outside of marriage.

Just think, if he'd had his way christianity would have gone extinct in 2 generations, and every people and race that became christian would have promptly gone extinct.

That's him saying he doesn't know how to love others as he loves himself, or put another way, he's saying he doesn't love others as he would wish to be loved.

I'm atheist. There is no such thing as a 'sin', it's very much a construct founded by a set of beliefs. However, there are such things as laws. It is not illegal to be gay in the UK or in the US (albeit, we can't get married...yet).

However, in answering your question, no it is not. The bible says that homosexuality is a sin, but what most bible-bashers forget to tell us is that the word 'homosexual', was mistranslated, the passage (I can't be bothered to find my bible and quote it to you) is actually about rape and sexual abuse. And due to the fact that it was mistranslated, Fred Phelps and his gang now see it fit to hold up pathetic signs to view there 'opinions'. icon_sad.gif

Either way, who cares? If we keep thinking about whether homosexuality is a sin (or if anything is a sin), we'll never (EVER) live life to the full.

Sorry if this was long, and if it came across as ranty in anyway, haha...I tend to ramble....icon_biggrin.gif

    Hi deeley1!

    Sin a very misconstrued word.
Taken in the context of 'we are all sinners' it's merely saying no-one is perfect...and no one is.
That said, the term has been used to bludgeon people in the same manner as though they have committed cold-blooded murder.

    "Practicing homosexuals"?
    icon_rolleyes.gif
    Like practicing dentist?
This is just what you are. If god made you then he made you homosexual. Pretty cruel of him to give you the exact emotions as heterosexuals, but then deny you the same intimacy that they can have.
