I just got home from a show I really wasn't crazy about going to. I bought tickets for a friend's birthday present who loves K.D. Lang and of course I went along. I wasn't really expecting to love the show this much, but WOW. I can't believe a mortal human being has a voice like that. I think I may have to start listening to more of her music.

kd Lang and Tracy Chapman have the most awesome voices, IMO.

Oh yeah. I've been in love w/ her since Ingenue. Invincible Summer is another great one. "Summerfling" is one of the breeziest, most carefree, gorgeously sung and harmonized confections ever commited to tape.

She performed barefoot which I thought was sweet.

I caught one of her shows last summer here in L.A. Awesome show.

Love her cover of The Talking Heads' "HEAVEN", off her latest album.

I love her cover of 'hallelujah', but could not understand why such a dark song was chosen for the Winter Olympics...
She does have an incredible voice.

I've always loved this song. It also shows both sexes coming out of the bedroom! hehe

I started liking her when she shifted away from country. She has an amazing voice. It's probably been 30 years ago now (doesn't seem possible), but I loved her duet with Roy Orbison of "Crying"...

She did country? Oh, well I'm glad she switched to a different style. I'm quite a fan of her voice, might have to get some of her music off amazon mp3.

Yes, she started out in country in like the late 70's early 80's. She had a very butch boy haircut, but tried wearing the long skirts - was very odd. When she finally came out of the closet and switched to more mainstream adult contemporary she became more popular - late 80's early 90's if I remember.

Her voice is much better suited for what she is doing now. IMO.

Her voice always reminded me of Carly Simon's (which is no bad thing obviously) but I agree she has an amazing voice.

I find her interesting to look at too. She's so androgynous looking, I could stare at her for hours.

Not only did she open but K.D. brought her out to do a duet also. She was amazing also.

One thing I'm noticing after listening to all the videos you guys are posting is how much stronger her voice was last night. I guess her voice has been trained to the point where it's just gotten better with time. Her voice seems slightly weak in these videos, but last night it was so strong and powerful, yet delicate sounding.

Been a k.d. fan for 25 years or so. One of the great voices of her generation.

Here's another good song. The video I don't care for.

A good one when you're feeling a bit dirty...
