Is it cool to brag about your "confirmed kills" when you've been in the military?

This is a touchy subject for me. I have been in the Marines now for two years now...and yes, I do know a few people who have talked about these things. I am going to be very clear: I have NOT killed a single person while being in.

I would not talk about these things, partly because it goes against my morals and ethics. Most Marines should have enough common sense to not "brag", or talk about these things anyways.

Are you sure this guy was even a service member?? Everyone I know who has experienced close combat; especially my marines I work with, would never talk about such things, or brag about them. Most tend to have ptsd and are very sensitive to such issues. If not, it still goes against the basic leadership traits and morals. If any guy comes up to me, and starts talking to me about people he's killed, I'll deck him across the face for his stupidity.

No, I think it's pretty vile to brag about something like that.

Anyone that wants to brag about something like that, let alone bring it up in a bar, is like some kind of psycho and/or lying. So it's not cool.
