I was actually twic
in one week for film actor Steven Bauer, best known from "Scarface" as the right hand man who marries Pacino's sister. This was in 1987 when, new to Manhattan, I splurged on a couple of nights on the town by taking cabs and going to restaurants, dressing up in a navy suit with an olive raincoat. Both a cab driver and a waiter asked me flat out if I was Steven Bauer. Recently I saw the movie "Sword of Gideon" and it all made sense. He'd headlined that flick in '86 and aside from suits and trenchcoats wore olive drab through much of it. Odds are he'd been promoting the film in NYC, too.
While I was never mistaken for Dean Cain, during his "Lois & Clark" days I was told I looked like him. (But then people have always compared me to "Clark Kent.")
